DON'T trade down ...

Unless you are making a draft value chart killing, at least 900 value points like the Colts made with us last year, but I want at least a thousand.

IMO there are three impact players on defense in this draft; Q, Allen and Bosa.

If we are going to trade out of this spot, meaning trade away a potential impact player, it better be because the offer was impossible to refuse.

And we better not trade down so far that we miss on Andre Dillard and Brian Burns too.

Yep! Ive been saying the same thing not trading down because of Mikeys POOR Drafting skills beyond the 6th pick. Chance for Jets to get a Defensive changing Pass Rusher in Allen. Forget the rumors of Mikey taking a DT at 3. Why do that? None of our DT-DE has done ZIP against Pats Offense and I dont see an under size DT doing anything just because the D Coach thinks he is like the RAMS DT. Odds of that again is Silly. Take Allen and move on. Of course Mikey trading back BLOWING the entire Draft again wouldnt surprise me. Where are all these great Draft Picks he has on the Jets? 1st round 19th pick still here? LMAO Nope. Terrible GM wasting money close to 200 Mil. on RB and LB and CB is the dumbest thing along with his dumb Drafts.

I hope the Johnson Bros actually step in here and tell Mikey the fool to take Allen at Pass Rusher and to have a chance to get a Sack man like we had in the mid 80;s that dont come around to us very often. I do think Johnson really are trying to win, but they need to STOP our GM;s silliness in Drafts passing on Great Players. The Money wasted is another thing and Johnsons are ok with Mikey wasting in on 3 AWFUL high risk Players is their issue.

i'm kind of in the opposite boat.

i think this is a pretty deep draft, and there's no way to say for sure that someone like allen will be better than burns or sweat, for example. i'm not sold on bosa as a fit for the 3-4 (and concerned about his injuries). and while i think both q williams and oliver are tremendous prospects, not sure they are fits given the current roster composition.

so to me, if we can trade down to anywhere between 4-15 and acquire extra picks, i think i'd do it. now obviously i'm not giving the #3 pick away. but i'm not necessarily demanding the sun, the moon and everything in between. getting a 1st, 2nd, next year's 1st and something else seems good to me. you still can get an edge rusher like burns or sweat or an o-lineman like j williams, taylor or bradbury in the 1st, use the 2nd for whichever need you don't fill with the 1st, pick up a 1st next year, and get a little more, seems like a good use of resources.

The draft is quite deep, especially in a couple positions of need for the Jets. Edge rush is deep, as is OL. DB, not so much. I'd have no problem trading back.

I can deal with this. Ian Rappaport says the Jets have a strong offer in the top 10.
