You can see the damage Tannenbaum and Idzik had on our team. They are the reason our bust rate is sooooo high in recent years.

Mr T had about 50% bust rate and Idzik is 75-100%

How can I be the only optimistic one in this thread?

No matter how you slice there's no way Wilkerson can be considered a bust? Sure, he is not playing well at all right now and hasn't for a few seasons, but prior to his big contract, Wilk was a franchise player easily. Him even being in this post is ridiculous.

I also do not view anyone that is on the field regularly as a bust? Just a disappointment and not worth the draft pick spent to get the player in question. I think that encompasses every suspect player the Jets have drafted besides Vernon Gholston? Gholston was never ever really a starter or even a contributor? He was so bad he barely ever saw the field. Becht, Robertson, Sanchez, Wilson, Coples, Milliner, Pryor, and Lee would all fall within the category of not justifying their draft spot?

And honestly, I do not believe Darron Lee will ever be viewed as a bust? He's a smallish type Safety IMO or possibly a 4-3 OLB? He was not meant to play in a 3-4 and I thinking that's rather obvious now, but he can still be useful if they opted to change the defense or reassign him as a Safety?

Problem with Mo is he was not a bust for first few years, but he will never be serviceable again. Lost the fire. CUT!!

While he is obviously not playing well right now and I'm quite disappointed in him I don't think the fire is really out. I believe there are still some hot embers in that pile of bones and the coaching staff just needs to, QUICKLY, find a way to stoke those coals back into a blaze of fury. Isn't that just so poetic of me................you'd never guess I was a writer. ANYWAY, I think there's still hope for him.
