Would be a great signing. Came from Indy and would be the equivalent of one of those picks we traded away.
He has been dreaming on playing for the Jets since he was a baby
Played 3 or 4 seasons with the Giants and had 7 sacks one year. Signed a 3 year, 30 million dollar deal with Indy but they cut him after one year. New coaching staff in Indy.
This would be a great, great signing. And it fits with the approach much more than, say, Suh would have.
He is available because the colts are switching to a 4-3 defense and he is more suited to a 3-4 defense. He's not particularly fast as I recall but plays well as a nose tackle. IF, I remember correctly.

Because at the time Willkerson was playing at a high level. Couldn't for see his immediate decline coming with his payday.
In hindsight, Mo should have been traded , (DallasDhad offered a 3rd round pick if I remember correctly) Snacks and Richardson retained.

He played pretty well in the 4-3 with the Giants. I think the Colt's see him as a 2 down player. Great vs the run, slow and poor in coverage. Much like Snacks.
Should signed Snacks over Mo... would ahve saved money then and we'd be better off for it... Hindsight is a beautiful thing...LOL
One has to place at least some of the blame for the Harrison & Wilkerson debacle squarely on Bowles & McCagnan - admittedly - Wilkerson did seem to just completely dog it, but it is hard to believe there was not some evidence of same(i.e. the practice field, locker room etc.) - I know Wilkerson had a reputation coming into the league for a sometimes inconsistent motor - regardless, they(the GM & Coach)were closely around him so that one has to question their judgement - although all in fairness to Bowles - he did rave about Harrison and exhorted his resigning - what he said to McCagnan about Wilkerson at the time is not known - ultimately, it was probably McCagnan's call.
Again 20/20 hindsight - and I recognize Wilkerson and Harrison had at the time posessed different attributes - BUT McCagnan is paid and paid well to make the right call.........one wonders - if Pittsburgh or the Pats would have gotten it wrong?

Wilkerson was a 1st round draft pick coming off an impressive season. Snacks was an undrafted FA who overachieved.
It’s easy for us to say “what were you thinking!!!” A GM has to answer to why he let a 1st round pick go in favor of a UFA who had only played 1 good season at the time. Hindsight is huge here.
