Eagles and Browns Involved In Trade Rumor. Hell bent on trading for Mariota

The Eagles appear to have landed themselves in the middle of another crazy trade rumor.
According to Chat Sports, the Philadelphia Eagles are “hell-bent” on moving up the draft in order to acquire Marcus Mariota. The Eagles are reportedly working out a deal with the Cleveland Browns that would send Sam Bradford to the Browns for Johnny Manziel and draft picks.
This isn’t the first time these two teams have been linked. Previously the Browns were said to have interest in Bradfordbefore the Eagles swooped in. Then there was the report that the Browns had offered the Eagles a first-round pick for Bradford.

According to a source very close to an agent involved in the trade talks, the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles have engaged in multiple discussions to send Browns QB Johnny Manziel, who is currently in rehab, and draft picks, to the Eagles in exchange for Eagles QB Sam Bradford, who was recently acquired via trade from the St. Louis Rams. According to our source, both sides are very motivated to get a deal done, with each side valuing the other’s QB more than the QB currently on their rosters.

The Eagles allegedly want to move up into the top two to four picksin the NFL Draft, but need the Browns No. 1 pick to be part of the deal.
The deal is apparently needs to move past two hurdles:

1. Bradford needs to commit to the Browns for more than one season
2. The Browns are only willing to offer the Eagles their second round pick.

With less than a month till the 2015 NFL Draft the Eagles-Mariota rumors continue to entertain.

I'm unclear here unless I'm reading this wrong. Doesn't matter what deal they conjured up. Do they, meaning Phila think they can trade Manziel to us or anyone to move up for Mariota? The drafts picks would be nice of course but keep Manziel PLEASE. Jets don't fall for BS here PLEASE!

I imagine that would be the plan. I never saw the sense in the rumors that the Birds were going to trade with a QB needy team in the Jets, that, well need a QB.

Yep the Raiders are the most likely target if he gets past the Titans.

The Browns want Bradford and the Eagles want the extra picks. The sweetener for the Browns is ridding their

Trade our 6th to the Eagles for Sam Bradford QB and their 20th pick. Then with the 20th pick get Gurley or Gordon RB's. At 37 get Eli Harold OLB. That would give a starting QB to compete with Geno & Fitz, and a stud RB as our future bell cow, and Harold is underrated.

No way on Bradford my man. This is an even more fragile Chad Pennington. If this is the case, as much as id hate for them to do it, rather trade up for Marcus than to see Bradford play 1/2 a quarter in the preseason opener before going on I.R.

Nick a QB that is growing on me is Garrett Grayson 6'2"/215 from Colorado St.. He's built like Chad Pennington but has a strange release like Phillip Rivers, but can chuck it 60 yards on a rope. The new Florida Coach Jim McElwain who coached him raves about this kid. He might be there for our 4th (104) round pick. I like Petty a lot, but I'd wait for the Penn ST kid or Mich. St. QB next draft and go with Geno & Fitz.

I just saw a tweet from @interstategreen that the JETS HAVE DEFINITELY reached out to Cleveland about trading the 6th pick;

Cy I have heard a lot of talk about him to the Jets so it would not surprise me if he is drafted. I just hope not. I do not have a good feeling about his future here.

Anyone "hell bent" to get Mariota is trading to #1 . Anyone that really wants him will trade to #2 when they are sure he doesn't go #1 .

The draft is still too far away to take any of this garbage seriously.

Wasn't very impressive during the senior bowl, IMO, but he was the best of a bad group of QBs. Petty also looked awful. Just a horrible QB class.

This would be worst case scenario for me. My top three choices are Fowler, Cooper, and Mariota.

If we had to pick at #6 from the remaining, I'd go either Beasley or Scherff. I'm just not sold on Dupree there.
