NFL AM (NFLN) is doing their annual 'On the Beat' mock draft, where a reporter who covers each team locally or someone associated with the team submits a pick for the respective teams that they cover.
The first five reads as follows:
1. BUCS - Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
2. TITANS - Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
3. JAGUARS - Leonard Williams, DL, USC
4. RAIDERS - Kevin White, WR, West Virginia
5. REDSKINS - Dante Fowler, DE/OLB, Florida
Allen then proceeded to select - Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama

The NFLN Guy seemed somewhat incredulous because we brought in Marshall and Decker last year, and we have Kerley in the slot, but Allen stuck to his guns that Cooper is the best player on the board and for now he can help the Jets score more points out of the slot, and with our defense that should make us a lot harder to beat.
I'm sure some Jets fans will agree with the NFLN Guy, but I applaud Allen for making a choice he knows would come with some criticism, but taking the right player in my view. I would be tremendously excited to add Cooper.
