Decker underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a torn rotator cuff, his second procedure in a month. On Oct. 18, a torn labrum in his hip was fixed. That, coupled with the looming shoulder operation, cast doubt over his availability for 2017. At the time, coach Todd Bowles admitted there was some uncertainty.
But the updated timetable appears to work in Decker's favor. The team is calling it an eight-month recovery from the rotator-cuff surgery, which takes him through mid-July, shortly before the start of training camp.

He's signed through 2018, due to make a non-guaranteed $7.25 million in 2017.
