I have'nt said anything yet, but being a Wake-Forest homer, I can see Kevin Johnson CB going in the 2nd round.

i think they really want him also i just hope we are the ones they deal with i want foles and a few xtra picks

If they move up in front of us and give up a ton of picks we could still have a shot at Foles in a separate trade, Philly will be looking to get some picks back.

Worse case scenario... you keep the QB. Win
Best case scenario... you trade Marriota to Cle. for #12 and a 2nd rd. this yr. and a 3rd. next year. Win
or... Kolb, #20 , a 2nd and a 2016 2nd. Win!

Has any team moved further up in the draft (in terms of value) than #20 to #1 ?

By the old draft value chart their entire draft plus next year's #1 wouldn't even be close. Players would have to be involved.

any trade they do if they are getting mariotta then foles is a goner an I don't see how they make a deal without giving foles to the team they are trading with. If they do move up to 1 then I could see the titans taking winston with the second pick.

Winston makes too much sense for the Bucs, both from a potential franchise QB standpoint and a public relations/marketing standpoint. I would be pretty surprised if Bucs trade away opportunity to draft the hometown kid.

in order to get a hershel walker like trade i bet they would. This could be the biggest trade in history and can set them up real good this would be bigger than the skins/rams trade.

It still doesn't feel doable. What do you value Foles at? Would a 2015 mid-2nd round pick be about the highest possible value? If so, then they Eagles combining 2015 1st and 2nd, 2016 1st and 2nd (dropping each a round in terms of value) and Foles, still comes up pretty short of the #1 pick value. I'm not married to the chart, but I think GMs get roasted when they don't get at least comparable value in a trade. Recent history: the Bills used a 2015 1st and 4th to move up from 9 to 4 last year.

This trade just doesn't compute for the Bucs, particularly since they are as QB-needy as any team. I guess Foles plus two first and two seconds is a pretty nice haul, but pales in comparison to the RGIII deal so I just don't see it happening that way.

What could happen is a 3-team deal where the Bucs land around 5-10 with another team moving down to 20 and the Eagles moving up. That would expose the Bucs' GM to less criticism. Who and how, I am not prepared to even speculate on.

well it really depends on the trade the eagles do have other players they can add in. It all depends on what the bucs and eagles think the first pick's value is?

Any number of trades could be involved even a 3 way trade like you mentioned or maybe they do what the chargers and giants did when they traded the players after they were drafted.

My hope is the Jets want nothing to do with Jameis Winston even if Mariota goes first and Winston is there at number 6. Way too much off the field baggage. Mariota should be the guy the Jets are willing to move heaven and earth to get. If he slides to 6, I'd sh*t my pants, but cannot see that happening under any circumstances. If the Jets really want him, and I do believe they should, trading up is our only option.

picks are a premium for teams that need everything ie: jets so a trade up is idiotic now a trade down is more what we need.

Yep. It's hard to argue with that. A trade down would have huge benefits for the rest of the team, but still the most important position on the field is the biggest problem. The Jets should see how the board falls, if by some miracle Mariota falls to number 6, the Jets should be on him like flies on sh*t. Can't see that happening though.

if he is their at #6 my first call would be to the eagles and try and pry foles away and pick up extra picks drop to pick 20 then turn around and trade up in the 10-12 range and grab dupree or if he is gone devante parker.

With the combine in the rear-view mirror, we have just about two months left until the NFL draft. Most signs continue to point toward the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selecting Jameis Winston with the No. 1 overall pick. That leaves the positioning of Marcus Mariota entirely unclear.

ESPN NFL Insider Todd McShay gave Mariota to the New York Jets in his latest mock draft, but what about the Philadelphia Eagles? Could they really commit to moving up from No. 20 to reunite coach Chip Kelly with his former Oregon quarterback?

"Every day, with little things I hear, evidence continues to build that the Eagles are going to make a strong play for Marcus Mariota," wrote Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com. "To note, this is something I had previously thought to be unrealistic, so as bits of information have trickled in, they've been absorbed on my end with skepticism. But it appears the Eagles are determined to get their guy."

Kempski added some obvious disclaimers, noting that "while the Eagles want Mariota and seem determined to make it happen, this is not a slam dunk."

Still, a case can be made that even at what would be an exorbitant price to trade that far up, it actually would be a good idea for the Eagles:

KC Joyner
Philly should break bank for Mariota
"Putting all of the chips in on a single player can be a very risky move, but in this case the metrics, game tapes and other personnel elements are all in agreement: The Eagles need to break the bank and do whatever it takes to acquire Mariota. Let's look at the reasons why. ... Three years ago famed former NFL general manager Ernie Accorsi told ESPN's Colin Cowherd that there isn't a price too high to pay for a franchise quarterback, as long as the quarterback turns out to be a great one. There is never a guarantee that a top-flight prospect will develop into a great quarterback, but Mariota's chances of doing so are very high, especially if he joins a team that runs the system he has been operating in for three seasons. A blockbuster trade could be seen as a poor idea for Philadelphia, but if it works out, it could be seen as the type of move that vaults Kelly's Eagles from playoff contender to Super Bowl contender."

I have been a big Foles fan for years. I would love to see him on our shade of green.

Not necessarily saying I disagree but I'm not exactly on board with this idea either.

Make a case for me on why Foles is so desirable.
