Trade him and trade Wilkerson to.
The last thing that Wilkerson did of any consequence for the Jets was sign his new contract.
I cannot remember any player be soo good in his contract year and completely shitting the bed when he gets his money.
If anyone would've known this was going to happen,Snacks should've been resigned and Wilkerson traded.

Mo is playing injured. I never thought mo deserved to be resigned, he's good,but not impactfull. It's more that we would be bad workout him.

like all contracts Maccagnan has signed players too, all the guarantees well majority are in the first two years...
after 2017 season the Jets could trade Mo's contract only incurring a $9 million dead loss that could be spread over 3 years... Saving $11 M in 2018, $12.5 M in 2019, and $16.5 M in 2020...
so in reality at worst Mo is on the team for the rest of this year and next year and then we see...

Until we're ready for a sustained run,I like this logic. Let's get mo healthy, why are we playing him injured now? Let's see what he has next year. Trade Richardson. Add an outside rusher at some point.

I agree...
Mo is the perfect defensive lineman for Bowles defensive front... He is a true run stopper that can play inside or out... Not to mention Bowles and Wilk both from Temple, thats a big connection... Maybe he looks bad right now because of the injury but he is one of three or four on the line that are playing bad...
Too many chefs in the kitchen. Sit mo until he's ready, showcase Richardson in his ideal position for an offseason trade. Get back to more 3-4
