Pass rusher? Okay, but didn't they just use a high 1st on one last year? Or did they amazingly take him off the front four and have him play LB? If so, let's see if Del Rio fixes that. I see you're starting Antonio Smith (33) and Dan Williams in the middle of that DLine. I see them going DT with Williams if available.

The raiders drafted a Sslb at 5 Khalil Mack last year..( he played lb first two downs) On passing downs he moved to De. If Raiders get Beasley or Say Gregory they would probably move him to Sslb , and Mack would move to De fulltime.( very good against the run).

Justin Ellis 6'2 330 will be starting next to Dan Williams at DT.( two massive DT's to clog the middle. After the draft wouldn't be surprised if A Smith is cut.( 4 million savings).

Wlb Sio Moore on run downs ( replaced by Malcolm Smith on passing downs) Mlb Curtis Lofton. Sslb Beasley / Fowler/ Gregory who would move to De on passing downs to team with Mack.

I'm actually surprised to learn Mack was used as a LB. He looked like a DE to me coming out of college where he didn't really play in space. I'd hate to miss his skills rushing the passer. We'll see if Del Rio changes that.

People say the draft is loaded with pass rushers, but truth is, they'll all be gone by the end of rd 1.

I bet you're right. if williams is there, the Raiders take him. Truth be told, I dont expect Cooper to be the best WR in this class, just the first one taken. There will be #1 WRs available with your 2nd rd pick: Beckham may be there, Perriman, Strong, Devin Smith, and Sammy Coates could all be rd 2 targets that may or may not develop into #1 WRs.

if Williams is the #1 rated prospect on the board, if Im oakland, I take Williams #1 to put beside Mack and Perriman rd 2 for Carr. Perriman is going to be very good and having his dad Brent work with him long term to be successful is a huge + for that kid.

I think you can find stud WR rd 2, i dont think you'll find the stud pass rusher in later rounds. Stick to your guns.

Agree completely.

khalil Mack was by far the best 4-3 outside lb against the run , in the NFL. ( there isn't a Te that can block him - threw Gronk around like a rag doll). Khalil Mack didn't get to the Qb as much as you would like last year.( even though he was providing consistent pressure). THE raiders expect him to increase his sacks totals a lot in 2015. (More comfortable + less thinking , and= he should be a real nightmare for offenses.

The guy Scherff is not being talked about much..but he had an UNBELIEVABLE pro day along with a good combine..hes 6' 5 320 listed as tackle but can go inside..considered this years Zach MArtin....he should be top ten..be interesting to seee if Giants nab him...

Per Rotoworld
Iowa OL Brandon Scherff recorded a 7.07 three-cone time at the school's pro day.

Scherff also produced a 4.41 20 yard short shuttle. He ran neither at the Combine. The 7.07 would have been good for second best at the Combine since 2006. Just for fun, Scherff's 3-cone time was faster than WR Jamison Crowder, Dezmin Lewis and just .01 slower than Chris Conley's. We think a team will see Scherff as this year's Zack Martin and select him to play guard, even though he could absolutely hold up at tackle. Teams like to mimic recent successes of other clubs. BTW that Conley kid..had the fastest 40 for WR !

Honestly if the Jets traded back a cpl spots and took him wouldnt be upset..not sexy/flashy but could be a mainstay for long time

Where's Cy when you need him?

Well, I know there are some SEC fans around...did you watch Scherff vs The Vols in his bowl game? I dont know how much you know about the Vols, but they have completely rebuilt their program. Its almost all fresh and sophmores...and they have another awesome class coming in.

Their kids on the dline, again, freshmen and sophmore, whipped Scherff like a dog to end his college career. He was straight b!tched all game. Cy and i logged in about the same time on the board and both said the same thing, cross him off our draft list.

Collins RT/OG LSU is twice the olineman Scerff is. Can Scherff improve and develop? Sure. But to call him the next Zach martin when he struggles blocking kids out of high school may be a bit of a reach.

He also didnt have a "great combine." I guess he did in agility drills, but was out benched by most WRs. he was one of the weaker linemen there. i dont know if we want to take a weak linemen that cant block high school talent...

I'd also add, he's not a "natural" olinemen. Scherff is a converted QB who only played oline at iowa. In high school, he played QB at 290 lbs.

Im just reiterating what the "experts" are saying..and I know Tenn has a very young team , with a QB that could be a Heisman candidate next year...but on the body of work I guess people are judging...
