He should be fired today. This is more of the same - why wait, perhaps an interim coach can get a chance to show what he can do this season. We have seen this already - game and clock mismanagement - anemic offense - bad darnold.....why do we need to wait - what is the excuse this time? I mean my god we had a delay of game without even crowd noise LOL.

Fire Gase Today and free this team! Dont wait to mid season - it is pointless by then.

Tell me right now how this looks any different then last year. No more excuses with this turd - we can at least make this season worth something by firing him immediately and giving greg williams control and seeing if he can right the ship. Otherwise its all in on this shithead and we tank for trevor lawrence and a new coach next year.

browns at least have an excuse - they have a new head coach and played a better team today - What is ours???? We made Sam Darnold look worse then Sanchez, our run game is non existent again - no creativity in play calling - guys slowing down mid run - it is a joke. Exhibit A again - you had a frackin delay of game with no crowd in attendance. How is that possible in year 2????? Darnold missing open receivers left and right. He has failed to develop a quarterback or address his shitty playbook - Fire Immediately

this is my take, Bell will likely be inactive for next week with the hamstring.

Gore, Josh Adams style rushing could help propel the offense and whatever game plan Gase pretends to dream up.

use Gore, use Adams if Perine is healthy then he gets reps. get the run game going first if they do that then maybe they have a shot.

but if 10 rush attempts in the 2 1/2 quarters is the game plan then yes fire Gase immediately don't wait to end of the season.

- 11 games under 20 points

- 8 double digit losses

- 2-5 in AFC East

- 2-7 on the road

- Darnold under 250 yards passing in 9 of his 14 starts with only 2 total 300 yard games

We all want that or at least the majority of us do but we all know that ain’t going to happen. Hopefully at the end of this year. That’s our best bet!

Problem with that is when the new HC is hired does he stick with Sam or draft Lawrence? We will no doubt have the number #1 pick this year. The new HC will have to decide has Sam had a fair shake at showing what he can do and become or does he need another 2-3 years to show himself? Sam was drafted under Bowles, a defensive minded HC and his offensive coordinator and QB coach was horrid.

Plus Darnold had a horrid oline and offensive skilled players around him. Years 2-3 he’s under Gase, who is supposed to be QB and offensive genius but proving he’s horrid also. The team is currently in a total rebuild with five new offensive linemen. I believe this is Darnold’s 3-4 offensive coordinator in three years. So what will the new HC do this off season, realize that Sam needs more time and he could possibly be the right guy under better guidance and a better team or cut bait and start over at QB?

It doesn't matter who the coach is, or how good the line is, when the QB throws across his body into a crowd.
Sam still makes terrible decisions, even when he has been given time to throw or is rolling out.
Protecting the ball was one of the cautions when he was drafted and he still hasn't changed that perception. Even if we had the second coming of Sid Gillman coaching the offense, I think he would be making the same mistakes. He doesn't have the right stuff.
But also, the right coach would put in a plan to keep his decision making to a minimum and Gase seems not to be able to do that either.

Plus lets face it gentlemen - Darnold is probably a lot better than what Gase has made him - but 1. He may be damaged, 2. Even if he isnt, Trever lawrence is another level - its like drafting a Peyton or an Andrew Luck. If we have a shot at him after this season we have no choice but to draft him and cut ties. Besides what do you do with a QB in 4th year that plays like this - you cant give him a new contract. Its a joke.
