Taking the first look of the Top Ten prospects and how they could fall in our favor to get one or another prospect with our 6th pick and why teams in front of us may select whom:
1. Cleveland Browns - Have franchise left tackle in Joe Thomas but the future might be in question... Hue Jackson needs to address many positions but the one position he could address would be lineman with the number one overall pick that no one will question right away... With Joe Thomas there for at least the foreseeable immediate future he would do well in drafting this year's Laremy Tunsil in Cam Robinson... Robinson a road grader tackle, run base offense would come in and play guard next to Joe Thomas allowing him live game reps while he develops his pass protection... Come year two or three, Robinson could move to tackle and the new cornerstone is there...
2. Santa Clara 49ers - They are in need of a plethora of needs... Quarterback is one option but defense is in total array and passing up on a pure edge rusher may be too good to pass up on... Myles Garrett could be a cornerstone on defense... Depending on the new coaching staff Garrett could be a 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB...
3. Chicago Bears - Like the 49ers the Bears could go quarterback with a hometown prospect in Mitch Trubisky even tho, don't consider him a Top 10 prospect he may be the smart move here... They would need a bridge QB, to allow MT to develop but he has upside in the right system...
4. Jacksonville Jaguars - They need a home run threat, Chris Ivory was suppose to be that lead back but he was less than stellar this past season and they could be looking to grab the next playmaker as they have in the past two drafts... The prize pick here would be RB, but who? The ideal pick would be a healthy Leonard Fournette, but don't be surprised if they pass on him for Dalvin Cook...
5. Tennessee Titans (via Rams) - They have their QB, RB, OL intact... They could opt for a play maker receiver or go defense here... Having a versatile play maker like Jabrill Peppers fall into their lap fifth overall may be too good to pass up... They have need at both safety and linebacker so this pick can fill one of those needs...
6. New York Jets - Many needs to address but the one need is left tackle... Inexperienced Wisconsin product Ryan Ramczyk has shown enough that his potential out ways his experience... Technically speaking he is already excelling at key attributes that a blind side tackle needs...
7. San Diego Chargers - Phillip Rivers is near the end of his career but he still needs weapons... Grabbing one of two top receivers are likely to be the target here... Corey Davis has a slight edge over Clemson's prospect Mike Williams and should be the target here...
8. Carolina Panthers - One year after playing in the Super Bowl, now with a collapsed secondary after ridding themselves of Josh Norman, the Panthers must find that key replacement after their secondary was the clear problem being torched every week... Teez Tabor from Florida would be the optimal pick in a Ron Rivera defense...
9. Cincinnati Bengals - Bengals always prided themselves on defense and bolstering the defensive line would be the smart move... Grabbing a versatile lineman like Jonathan Allen from Alabama would give them a productive defensive end to build around...
10. Buffalo Bills - Post Rex Ryan there are a lot of questions to be had but offensively this team is almost complete, they have one need a compliment to Sammy Watkins... Mike Williams would give the Bills a dynamic Clemson Tiger duo at receiver and might be too good to pass up...
