Apparently if Rodgers gets a major injury on Sunday we can't cut him in 2025. Since Ulbrich isn't smart enough to sit him there is another Jets disaster waiting to happen.

But that would be good he could comeback for his 500th. If not we could extend him into 2026

The Jets will most likely win this game because that’s just what they do. Lose when they are supposed to win and win when they are supposed to lose!

Jets are so bad this year that Miami probably won't even play their starters for this last game...........................

Dolphins will be happy to help the jets move down in the draft

jets will have to do their best to be the jets to lose this game. I give them a fair shot
Actually, for me it doesn't make much difference either way. We are talking probably 1 position and I can't see where in this years draft it will hurt the Jets at all. They are not going to get a QB in the draft, even if they trade up, that will be the starter for 2025. In fact I would not be surprised if the new regime kept Rogers as the bridge QB for one more season in hopes of finding a suitable starting QB for 2026. Tyrod put on a good show this last game but he can't make it through a season. We have no idea where Jordan Travis stands so far as being ready for that job. What vet QB that will be available in free agency is a sure thing to be better than Rogers ? That's a big question. My guess is that the new GM will use the draft to try to upgrade in a few spots and fill some vacated positions on the roster. Dropping down a spot or so won't hamper that effort a great deal in my opinion for whatever that's worth.

I hated reading your post here even though it is so true. We are f______d for next year. Can I go hunting with you next year? Now I am depressed & it is the start of the new year.

I hated writing it almost as much as you guys hated hearing it because it is true and I don't believe the Jets really need Rogers or a super star QB to be competitive. The players the Jets have at the start of next season need the right incentive to perform the way they are expected to. If that happens a good QB will be sufficient. As far as hunting with me I'm afraid that you would hate the long periods of boredom you'd have to endure. It only gets exciting if a bear runs towards me after I shoot it. Then the smell of my pants immediately after. Afraid I can't help you either Tebow, although I understand completely how you feel. It seems that hunting people for us average citizens is illegal. BUT........we can't write next season off until we at least see what the make up of the team roster and front office is.

I don't really understand these things but according to the analysts......

If we cut Rodgers or he retires we incur a $49 million dead cap charge. By making it a post-June 1 cut we could spread it $14 million in 2025 and $35 million in 2026.

If Rodgers returns his dead cap charge goes up to $63 million in 2026. By making a post-June 1st cut we could spread this between 2025 & 2026.
