Look I witnessed one of the worst games in my NFL history when the Jets played the Cardinals in 2012. Those two Qb's were so bad I could not watch them at times. Lindley was so bad his pass was so off target he could not even throw INt's LOL Baby mac was almost as bad.

The next year the Cardinals made a trade for Palmer At least for the regular season He has been outstanding not good but outsatnding. They did it. The Broncos got manning a few years ago. The Cardinals got Warner. The Jets got Namath. Now what I hear from fellow Jet fans is the cap, lucky, etc etc etc. A great GM will get the QB


So it is not my job but I know enough to say a great Gm gets a good QB.


If I were the Jets I would be talking to the Giants...hint hint.

as for next off season being able to cut/release free in clear: Brandon Marshall, Nick Mangold, Brick Ferguson and open the cap space from $15 million to $46 million is a better deal whereas the free agents available would be more sufficient for us to use that new money on those acquisitions... not saying any of those three are going to be cut, but two of the three may retire...

next years free agency is loaded with talent and a scout like Maccagnan would be drooling at the chance to steal a piece or pieces from around the league...

I agree but I would like to see more tag sales this year for DC,s for this year & next year. We could really stock up on picks this year & next & FA's next year.

That Cards Jets game was bad.... I was at the Cards/Jets game in 2004 in Sun Devil Stadium and that game is up there as well for being God Awful

how long is too long? Fitz wants to be paid because his agent says he is worth x amount of peanuts well his agent also retracted his original statement saying he miss judged the market, so what is taking so long to get this deal done?

LOL I don't know I have a bad taste in my mouth on Hoyer.....but yes they are like the same player, It is like Moe, Larry & Kerly.....they area all stooges in the end.....sorry about the K could not stop myself

those people are wrong. Fitz is twice the player Hoyer and McCown are.

I'm not gonna get worked up over Fitz, if he comes back at the Jets price, fine, if he wants more than he's worth, adios amigo. I would probably feel a little differently if he got us to the playoffs, but after he spit the bit in Buffalo, I really don't care either way. Call it short-sighted to place that much emphasis on one game, maybe it is, but I don't care, too me that was his chance to prove he is more than a career journeyman, that he can CLOSE THE DEAL, and he dropped the ball.

Too me moving on to the Bryce Petty era is not the worse thing that can happen, and we might even be better for it over the long haul. I think this kid has a bright future.

RGIII now with the Browns and it appears Kaep is staying in SF. Leaves Fitz coming back to us at our price. Although I must admit, I could care less if he comes back to us or not. I said it before and it's a Pipe dream I know but I'm hoping Petty will be ready to go and bumps every QB off the field. If not Petty, maybe God answers our prayers and Wentz falls in our laps at #20.

That may be true so that means Fitz can only expect double McCown's salary. That would be about $9 which is about all Fitz should be able to get IMO. Anything more than that I would take McCown at $5M.

With RG3 signing we now have a baseline for middle of the road QBs 7+ mil exactly where Mac pegged Fitz. Fitz is losing his leverage almost daily now and I believe Den has stated they do not think he is worth 5mil so....

His agent better wake up or he could be writing software soon...
