The Vikings traded the Jets a fourth rounder for Chris Herndon before the season.

This year, Herndon has 4 catches for 40 yards and a TD. He’s played 16 games with five starts.

Kenny Yeboah has three catches for 36 yards this season. He has played 8 games with 0 starts.

acquiring Brandon Dillon could likely be in rotation as well with Trevon Wesco but yes addressing this position in the draft is a must...

A smooth route runner with exciting yards after the catch ability; his physicality and fierce competitiveness stood out especially during the week of practices at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl,

Prospect out of Marian.

Appreciate the knowledge. Not much to find about him out there

I really like this kid. On Twitter. He saw me sticking up for and defending him vs. Hundreds of angry Jets fans who wanted him released because of a Rookie mistake fumble in preseason. So what did I do? I posted his stats and Ole' Miss highlight videos as a way of debating those sharks in the waters.

Kenny Yeboah the next day then went out of his way and thanked me thru twitter inbox. He thanked me twice and from there we've had a couple of conversations ever since.

And he redeemed himself the following two preseason games.

Dude...that is a great story!!! Good for you. Sincerely, brother...you should be proud of yourself!

Herndon vs. Yeboah.

I like the potential of Kenny Yeboah a lot. He was an absolute freak of nature beast during his final NCAA season of 2020 @ Ole' Miss. His highlights look like Kyle Pitts Jr. on tape. Freakish athleticism for a kid of his size.

Yes, sir!!! Know what? Pitts isn't a great blocker, and Yeboah is not that much of a project as a receiver. We absolutely stole a Receiving TE as an UDFA.

...better coach him, get him on the field, and get him signed quickly. He will not last another season on the P.S.

I like Kenny....soft spot for the Ole Miss program.....but his one big problem is he can't block and that is a MAJOR problem in the LaFleur offense.........it's a big reason why the Jets will not be interested in Geisicki - that guy rarely lines up as a TE nor does he block.

Kenny will have to justify his existence on special teams while developing or be relegated to practice squad.

what a joke that would be.

not to disagree, but if we lost him to another a team (and we would) , that other team would play him in a 12 formation, let the guy one biscuit shy of being a Tackle block, and wonder "WTF didn't the Jets see in this match up nightmare" as Kenny is torching LB's and Safety's.

ML's O is tethered to his brother's and Shannahan's, right?
Let me know when Kittle lights up a blitzing LB or flattens a guard on a running play. FTR, i am NOT holding my breath.

at the same time he is showing off his play creation and play calling ability, he might be showing off his "greenness" at being able to coach young players. or, at the very least an ability to coach them onto stepping stones to get something out of them before they can be the complete player.

I wouldn't say proud. I'm proud of being a dad etc

trust me...a 22 year old getting blitzed for playing a game by "fans" needed to see that there were "dad's" out there who had his back.
be proud about that. you may have done a small part in his perception of what fans really are all about.

I would prefer he spends his summer getting a personal relationship with the blocking sled .

that would be fantastic...to become a complete TE.

but if he lights it up against BUFF this week after a 2 target 2 catch game against TB, scout's for teams who put more emphasis on TE's as offensive weapons are going to pick our pockets to have him back up a "Kittle" or a "Kelce" or a "Pitts"; or another team wanting to integrate an offensive weapon at TE might make him their version of the aforementioned Pass Catching TE's.

the man has X Factor written all over him. The 24 yarder sliding catch he made was one of the best receptions any of our receivers made all year; he did it and made it look easy.

Oh I agree . Trouble is this team is not going to trust him blocking for the wonder boy at QB .

LOL...i hear you.

the thing that makes me laugh is this team would be ok with allowing GVR block for him if we didn't fleece the Chiefs to get the Doctor; BTW, that was a thing of beauty, because we swiped Brown right back off their P.S. after the fact.

i am not questioning the coaches; they have things going in the right direction. At the same time, it's strange that Jeff Smith lines up incorrectly and forces #2 to kill the play with a dirt ball on one play, and then Smith drops a pass in his hands on the next play, but stays in the game to lead the receivers in snaps played.

where is the consistency for guys like #83 and #11? they'd be yanked in a NY minute for the same transgressions.

My only explanation is tough love. Sometimes coaches are harder are guys with the most ability.

Kittle happens to be the best blocking TE in the league.......

That's a very real possibility.

But, i wonder if there is a bit of Herm Edwards in Mike LaFleur; not in football acumen or style, but in that Herm was a veteran's coach. Vets who had been around the block and young guys who didn't need coaching up and counseling were his cup of tea.
youngsters who weren't as quick floundered; ex., James Farrior for us, but excelled in PITT.

even #2 had to get his personal coach added to the staff...just a thought!

i defer to you...but for crying out loud, if you're going to show a dude up by disproving his position, get a clip where they didn't lose 5 yards.
