Wasn’t born a Jet fan but this team runs deep in my family . Trying to get my youngest son on board but he’s a packers fan .

actually read a Namath book in 2nd or 3rd grade and made the wrong choice after. Until I bought a house and had no time,I did used to watch both teams every week.
never tried to get my boys involved in forever loserdome, butmy oldest watches the Jets. Middle son couldn't care less about sports but still considers himself and calls himself a Jet fan and even my daughter has been watching games lately. my wife now likes the Jets more then me

Here you go.Don't feel bad. My 10 year old daughter is our families first ever person to be born in Florida.
She loves her Buccaneers (all of her friends do) since we live in Tampa Bay (Saint Petersburg).
So every single Sunday we've got two games on in the living room (Jets on 1 TV and Buccaneers on the other TV).
She's a smartass too I bought her a BUCS SB ring(of course not a real one lol) and the order day she said pops will your Jets ever win a SB and then pointed to her ring

I didn't want to pressure her on becoming a Jets fan. The Buccaneers are a bond her and her friends share together but I hope one day she'll join her family from Queens and ditch the Succaneers for the JETS.

My Dad was a Jet fan, my Uncle, a die hard Giant fan. My Son played Middle Linebacker in HS. His idol was Brian Urlacher. He is a Bears fan. My Daughter is a Jet fan. My Son in law is a Panther fan. I keep on sending Jets clothes for my infant Granddaughter to wear.
I am guilty of all of this but the last part. My life isn't over yet so there's still time for me to come to my senses................................

Even the 1976 0-14 Buccaneers took about 4 seasons to make it to the NFC championship game.I tried but it didn't work this little girl knows her stats she's heard me preach 11 years of no Jets playoffs one too many times and she remembers because I was making fun of her Buccaneers of the 1970s the other day and she asked me if the Jets haven't made the playoffs in 11 years then what was the Buccaneers longest record of no playoffs?
I didn't want to answer her because it'll inform her of more knowledge. To make fun of my Jets.
But I did. I told her the TB answer is 14 years throughout 1983-1996.
She started to laugh and told me the Jets are 3 years of no playoffs away from becoming the Buccaneers of the 80s/90s.
She really had me thinking.
Man it really stinks that she's 10 years old and has never got to watch a Jets playoff game with her dad.

PS:I've never been no quitter but I promise I won't be around to see us pass the Saints for the longest 21 year playoff drought of All-Time because I've promised myself that if we (somehow) make it to 16 years of no Playoffs in other words 5 more seasons of no Playoffs? I won't be around to see NFL of 2027 because I'll quit watching Jets Football after 2026; and won't watch another single Jets game until they make the playoffs again (and then I'll tune back in for it).
