Forget Brady that we all talk about how come the Pats get a third down back .we can't

We all talk about Brady but the Pats find what ever they need even with a poor draft position every year......We full around with these old farts that are well done by the time they get here & the pats get what I call a real third down back.

The guy can return kicks Get 20 + yards on a pass or run & score TD's


We talk about everything else & how Brady is so good but how does NE beat the entire NFL with their pickups & drafts.


They lose an all world TE & slide in an all world 3rd down back.

Can't compare the Jets to the Pats in any category. Pats are just better.

The whole thing is coaching. They know how to get people playing the best they can possibly play. I don't think guys like Chris Hogan, James White, Julian Edelman, etc. would be anywhere near as effective in another offense as they are in NE.

On the other hand, we have Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson, Darrelle Revis, Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall, Darron Lee, Devin Smith, etc., guys who have just as much if not more talent than corresponding players on the Patriots, and all of our guys played terribly this season.

Bum Phillips said, "As a coach, you have to get the mediocre player to play average, the average player to play good, and the good player to play great." The Patriots do that, and we do the opposite of that.

Yes, the Patriots are better than the Jets. It helps when you have a great QB and head coach. If you put Brady on the Jets, everyone on the offense would look better. Guaranteed.

No lol but we are forgetting that we need talent....not just coaching..........Please .put the coaching aside for a minute......... we have not had a good third down backs since Harper & Washington in 50 years.........

Aside from hitting Powerball on a sixth rounder, their drafts are at best average. Now, they are excellent at trading and accumulating draft picks, but they are not that good a team when it comes to drafting guys. Let's not pretend that everything the Pats do is great because they're the Pats.

Agreed there drafting is middle of the pack... The coaching and culture their along with Brady are the difference.
