Being that the 2019 HOF induction ceremony is going as I’m typing this and our beloved Kevin Mawae is finally going in, I thought who will be the future Jets players that will no doubt go in or possibly go in. Now ofcourse I’m only talking about Jets players from the past and ones that are currently on the team now. I’m also talking about players who although they may not have started their career or played their entire career with the Jets, they may still choose to go in associated as a Jet. So someone like Osemele may not count because if he ever gets in, he’ll probably go in as a Raider. So this is my list:
Past Jets players:
- Darrell Revis (first ballot guy ofcourse)
- Nick Mangold (hopefully a first ballot guy but early entry HOFer nonetheless. I can’t see him waiting any longer then Kevin Mawae did.)
- D’brickashaw Ferguson (doubt he gets in but if he does he’ll be waiting years for it. Probably a senior ballot guy.)
- Joe Klecko (it’s about damn time they give this man his do.)
- Al Toon (should have been got the nod as a senior inductee.)
- Mark Gastineau (its about time he got in also as a senior ballot.)
Thats about it for past players that I can think of.
Current Jets players, all barring injury and longevity of excellent play ofcourse:
- Sam Darnold (yes this is a hope and wish pick but he has the talent to be a first ballot guy and we can all see that. He just has to do it.)
- Jamal Adams (on his way to becoming a first ballot guy or an early entry at worst.)
- Le’Veon Bell (on his way to becoming a early entry guy. Doubt a first ballot. He just has to stay motivated enough to put up the stats for about 4-5 more years. Hopefully he goes in as a Jet and the way things ended with Pittsburgh, he probably will.)
- C.J. Mosely (he will be a earlier entry guy as well but I doubt a first ballot one. He may choose to go in as a Raven but let’s hope not.)
- Quillen Williams (yes he hasn’t even played a game yet but we all see the skill and potential to being a first ballot guy.)
- Leornard Williams (doubt it seriously with the way he’s played so far but with all the help he has now, maybe he’ll show up and play as we all thought he would over the next 7 plus years.)
