Dan will consider this a win - Petty getting LOTS of developmental reps. Exactly what he asked for in the Petty thread. That's for sure, lot of game reps for he and Gaily to study.

we are getting smacked in all phases i did not expect this i am not saying it is over i just think the practice reports we have been getting we all thought the team would show more than this.

Can't tackle, can't block, can't pass, can't run and can't catch ... other than that we're doing great.
The same thing happened when parcells got here...all the sudden Adrian Murrell and Bobby Houston were scrubs and they cleaned house.
I dont think they like Kerley. I said it all along Gaily is looking for speed at #3 and has played Devin Smith, Owusu, and Enunwa all with the 1s. If Kerley was a Wes Welker slot spot lock, would would see him working on timing and spacing with the 1s consistently. Decker and marshall arent losing reps with the 1s, Kerley is. Jets took Devin Smith rd 2 for a season, he's the long term plan at #3 , not Kerley. Wont be shocked if Owusus gets in some packages too.

petty has been the best rookie and he has also been alot better than the veteran players he will win the lockeroom before geno does.

There is almost no way that a defense with Revis, Cromartie, Skrine, Harris, Coples, Sheldon, Mo, Williams and Snacks can be bad. The team played a vanilla defense and they were rusty. Second this is the second year that the Lions are under the same system.
On offense, we moved the ball with Fitz. Cumberland dropped a catchable ball, otherwise we probably score on that drive.
It sucks that we looked unorganized in every phase of the game but this could be a wake up call to the rest of the team that they will need to work hard to continue.

just hope we dont rush him. Dont try to rush him for an after the bye option. if the bye was week 8-10, yes, maybe, but week 5 is too soon. Let him sit unless further injuries occur and we have no option.

I agree. This ugliness we watched tonight was a team effort. No Petty didn't make any pays to turn it around, but nobody really expected he would. In a very dark night, I'll take that as a bright spot.
Another faint bright spot was Trevor Reilly. Played a very solid game
