I think people are missing the point. The JETs definitely overachieved and Fitz had a great season. That is the best you will ever see from Fitz. Six teams is a good body of work to judge. I don't hate the guy but he just isn't the answer. We could win 10 games next year or we could lose those three or four of those last second nail biters; but the idea is to win it all.
Ask yourself; Is Fitz going to get better next year?

I guess you can't fix everything in one year, but the Achillies heel of this team all year has been special teams (outside of Folk).

The coverage has been awful.
Quigley has been awful.
The return game on punts is pathetic with Kerley.

I don't care if it takes picks or money but that area of the game needs to be fixed. Period.

well i'm all in favor of drafting another QB (not necessarily in round 1 since it doesn't appear to be a loaded QB draft) and having fitz, petty and rookie on the roster. fitz is still the starter of this team, but you should also be grooming some young guys to take over.

franchise QBs don't just grow on trees. right now, fitz gives us the best chance to win. you look to upgrade the roster, replace some dead wood, and hope the team as a whole gets better (including the coaches). maybe fitz doesn't have as big of a year statistically. maybe he does better. but i'm not pulling the plug on him now.

This was a fun season but I didn't get my hopes up because deep down I had a feeling that this crap against Rex would happen. Fuck that guy.

Having said that, it's a travesty we are watching from home but Texans are in with a 7-9 record or whatever it is. I am optimistic for next season but am wondering if Fitz can replicate the year he's had.

We have a lot to be proud of and build on. Maybe it bodes well that we missed the playoffs. The team will come back hungry.

No, I want a real QB, we know what Geno is and we know what Fitz is. If it isn't Petty then move on and draft another. If you want to be an OK team and hope to step in it I do get that.

EVERYONE across the board contributed to this loss. There wasn't one fucking person from the Jets organization that earned their paycheck.

Hopefully hungrier than they were today. We need some more guys with some edge and fire.
