This really is no different than many of the other horrors we have had to endure watching this team. Remember the 2004 playoff loss to the Steelers? I just think Jets fans need to prepare for the inevitable heartache this team always brings.
I hate blowing this game, but give me 10-5 and one game from playoffs any day over 4-12 and mathematically eliminated in week 4 of the season.
It was all a big tease ...
10-6, the five game winning streak, beating the Patriots, record breaking performances from the QB and WR's, all of it, in the end it was all a big offing tease. When the chips were down and we needed ONE MORE WIN too make the playoffs, verses a team that was already eliminated, verses the coach we just fired, we stunk out the joint, slept-walked thru the first half, got our asses handed to us, and tonight Rex Ryan is partying like its 1999.

I'm no longer disappointed. We played great all year long. Our defense needs a lot of work. I still think they are a disappointment. If our offense wasn't as good this year, we'd be looking to get people fired.

We've had and screwed up more top 5-10 picks than I care to think of.

I'm on board with this 1, 000 percent. If for nothing else, how can they let Rex Ryan beat them twice in one year after he just got fired from this team? Not only did he do that but he and his team knocked us out the playoffs. The Bills front office will probably give him a 5 million dollar bonus just for that alone. Rex will be cheered like a hero now. As if he was actually playing and the Bills won the SB and they didn't even make the playoffs. The Bills organization and the fans will overlook that as if it never happened simply because they won today and knocked us out the playoffs. Any given Sunday can happen but how can they let it happen today with all that was on the line?
The Jets weren't a 5 win or 8 win team with nothing to play for. They were a 10 win team that people were slowly talking about them possibly going to the SB with this weak crop of AFC teams playing. Only true threat seemed to be the Pats but the Jets played them tuff twice and beat them once. Just winning 10 games in a situation like this isn't good enough. They were one win away from the playoffs and then who knows what but they let their hated ex-coach beat them twice and eliminate them from the playoffs. This wasn't no ordinary sting lose, losing to Rex Ryan and the Bills in the last game of the season and a elimination playoff lose made it 1, 000 time worse.

I'd still rather have a TOP 5 Pick than no playoffs and the 20th Pick in the draft.
Too me the regular season is about making the playoffs. If you don't make the playoffs, everything you accomplished in the regular season is meaningless. I would much rather be 4-12 and picking in the TOP 5.

Well, perhaps you should start doing the same? Maybe the Jets wouldn't be the biggest laughingstock choke artists in the league?
The amount of disappointment I am feeling right now is not even measurable.... We did everything wrong in this game. 2 losses to Buffalo is unacceptable. I am happy with the year as a whole but man did we stink it up today. 3rd down defense killed us today... F*&^!!!!

Fitz was forcing a lot today... That throw to Decker in the End Zone was just terrible... Ivory was not covered on the swing out of the backfield...
Terrible decision by Fitz, he had been avoiding those lately. He had a clear pick 6 dropped on him earlier in the game, too. He wasn't playing relaxed to me.
