Well if I said to you at beginning of the season do you want that top 5 pick now or would you like to have a chance at the playoffs what would you say? Its the life of being a Jets fan. You will be disappointed more often than not.

I gotta agree with this. Why win so much and do nothing with it? This was a 10-11 win team but a PLAYOFF team also. So if they would have achieved anything less 10 wins, it would have been a huge disappointment but I don't know if it would have been as bad as this disappointment.

First time all season HYATT™ slept through a Jets game and didn't wake up in time to watch it.
Man, did HYATT™ ever pick, (unconsciously), the right one to miss.
SUX.
But, there's always next year and the Jets are in a good place to move forward.

Of course I'll take 10-6 over 4-12 without knowing the outcome, because more often than not 10-6 will get you into the dance, but if you told me in advance that it wouldn't, I'll take 4-12 and a TOP 5 Pick over 10-6 and the 20th Pick, with no playoffs to show for it.
But we knew today that it was going to take 11 Wins and we didn't get it, didn't get it done.
Well spending money on a 4-12 team sucks. I'm super disappointed because the team didn't show up. It was a fun season though. 4-12 seasons have never been fun.

Kurt Warner said it on the NFL network show today, he was wondering when was Fitz going to have his typical game wrenching and disappointing game. He said he didn't think it was going to be today but he mentioned it. Man I didn't think it was going to be today either. Not blaming this lose all on Fitz but he had something to do with it. Can't throw that int in the endzone in the 4th quarter like that. The defense was a huge disappointment also. I'm also guessing Ivory was truly hampered because he was non-existent this game in touches. When he did have the ball he made it happen but under 10 touches and how do you expect him to make a true impact. This should have been a 25 touch game for Ivory (20 rushes and 5 catches) atleast but I guess he was truly hampered today. WTF!
Fun season for sure, but in the end it was all a big tease.
What do we have to show for it?
NOTHING, we're in the same boat as a 4-12 team, preparing to watch other teams play in the post season, the only difference is, the 4-12 team gets a nice consolation prize, TOP 5 Pick, while we will be picking 20th, one spot ahead of the last playoff team.

Well at 4-12 you still have no hope, but we have at least some that we are on the right track.

I wouldn't say the 4-12 team has no hope. This league is year to year. Last year we were 4-12, and this year we won 10 Games with a chance to make the playoffs on the final weekend. Sadly we CHOKED IT ALL AWAY, but you can turn a franchise around in one off season, and now you have a chance to add another blue-chip talent.
We did everything we could to make the playoffs. That's part of sports. We will probably never win another title. Also part of sports. Give me the team that finished well over the 4-12 any day.

Lighten up Mainejet! This was a huge disappointment but they did achieve a lot tis year. Just not enough but it was a huge jump from last year.
I respectfully disagree.
If we did everything we could, we would have showed up like a team on a mission today, beat the Buffalo Bills, and we would be in the playoffs. Thats the truth of it, Tebow, fact of the matter is, we DIDN'T do everything we could because we didn't finish the job when we were 60 minutes away and controlled our own destiny.
I won't sugarcoat this ... I SAW IT COMING ... I saw this letdown coming ... unfortunately our head coach didn't see it too, or if he did, he didn't do enough to combat it ... so everything we accomplished this year was for nothing.
That you say this confirms how much better Bowles is than Rex.
