And now because Billy boy made an asinine call to kick ,Bob Costas has a commentary that wants the OT rules changed
What a bunch of douchebags

I saw that. It was ridiculous.

As soon as the Pats lose a game, there needs to be some sort of rules change. They never get beaten by a team that plays better.

I hate Pats fans and the media. They are saying the pats blew this game to keep steelers out. Then why did Belichek pull out all the tricks to beat us? Flea flicker, wild cat, reverses. Why did Gronk sacrifice his body on some of those plays. Steelers suck, their defense is Swiss cheese.

That is RIDICULOUS!

If you are trying to lose a game, you don't keep your franchise QB in all game long. You don't come back from a 17-6 deficit late.

Pats fans REFUSE to admit that the Jets outplayed them yesterday. Biggest crybabies in the NFL.

Yeh Lil Bill relly looks like a guy who had things go his way yesterday. he's on the verge of tears.

what was the rationale for the rule change and the suggested correction?

Costas suggested it is inherently unfair that a team could go into overtime and lose without ever having a possession. He suggested the problem, but did not lay out a fix.

My issue with his commentary is the timing. It seems like only when rules come to hurt one of a small handful of teams is there a call for those rules to be changed.

Couple of moderate surprises in snap count. At least to me.

Kerley gets 0 snaps. I know his totals are down this year, but I was surprised by the 0. Can't help but wondering is Ivory is hurt. His yardage has been way down lately form the beginning of the season. Powell has been picking up the slack fortunately.

Davis seems to be out of the dog house as he had more then twice the snaps of Henderson. Good player just struggles in covering RB's out of the backfield. Sorry to see Reilly is getting more reps. Really like the guy. Also a bit surprised M. Williams isn't getting more reps.

Let them have their Beli reach-arounds. It's fine. The Jets beat them decisively. Tighten up the game changing mistakes and this team will beat the Pats in the playoffs.

Now Dion on the NFL network wants to change the OT rules
What a bunch of Dicks
The OT rules have been in effect and tweaked , now they don't like how "we " won so now they want a change
Unreal

Other teams lose on first drive TDs in overtime. No outcry.

But for the pathetic LOLJets to beat the Blessed Ones, the Patriots? Not only do the rules need to be changed, but there need to be Congressional hearings.

I saw that too, the degree to which these media guys are on the Patriots strap is sickening. They lost a game in OT, so now we have to change the rules! Would he be saying that if the Jets lost? HELL BLEEPING NO.

The Patriots got the short end of the stick on that coin toss blunder. Time to revise some of the rules. It's not fair that New England lost the game entirely based on that coin toss. The refs were very confusing about the terms of the toss. From now on, they should bring crayons and paper out there to draw pictures for them, and make absolutely sure that NE wants to kick, instead of receive. And next time the Patriots should get 5 full minutes to deliberate on the final decision.

Sincerely,

Bob Costas, Peter King, Teddy Bruschi, Gary Myers, and Roger Goodell.

On being asked whether the Pats should have been allowed to change their picks.

"You would like to think that he would, but that's not the rules."

Why would we like to think that he would? Is ESPN an alleged national network? That sounds like something you say for your home fan base's consumption.

If the Jets did this, it would be Buttfumble 2.0.

But the Pats did, so I don't expect to hear about this much after, say, tomorrow. One of the most embarrassing mistakes a team and coaching staff has ever made, one that directly cost them the game and a chance to lock up the top seed.

Rather than the storyline being about how stupid this was for the Pats, how embarrassing it must be for them to have screwed up this royally, instead the storyline is about how the rules need to be changed.

Jets make this mistake, and it's LOLJets all over the place. Pats make it, and there needs to be a rules change.

If the Jets screwed that coin toss up, they'd be clowning them into the next decade. It'd be buttfumble on steroids.

But because it Kraft's Patriots, there's simply "concern" over how the rules are drawn up.

They did not make a mistake in calling the coin toss, and Bellichik was pretty convincing about that when he discussed it afterwards. He has also done it in other games, and another coach or 2 has done it as well (according to what I heard on the radio). If a coach is that confident in his defense to stifle the opposing offense for one drive, it makes sense.

What it does display is arrogance on his part, in assuming that there was no way we could march down the field for a td, that at best we would come away with a field goal. An odd position to take, since we had done it only a little earlier in the game.

His time management and failure to play for a score at the end of the first half is more of a mystery...

It makes no sense whatsoever - if you kick, you have a chance to lose without touching the ball. If you kick and stop the other team, you still need to score to win. I just don't get how anyone could defend that decision. It was an unforced blunder that cost them the game.

It's arrogance on Belichick's part. He thought the most we can get was a field goal which would in turn give his team four downs to move down the field and equalize. With Brady, the odds are always in your favor when you're playing with four downs going for a fg. Fitz made him pay.

Bottom line is that we know longer have a pee wee offense. We are legit and can compete with anyone. Fitz is a calm and cool leader and the team feeds off that. Our offense is getting better and better each week
