Defense having trouble with the Lions offense. This is what happens when all you care about is offense . Your team looks really good losing .
They probably will because I made this post . Trouble is the issue is still the same . To win it all in football in December and January, you pack your defense and your running game .Another early exit?
Um.
Didn't they make the NFC Championship Game last year?
You know what happens when you build around your offense?
A.) You have the best record in Football (GB).
B.) You won a SB (Aaron Rodgers).
Man. I WISH the Jets had the Packers Offense. Because then I'd have witnessed a SB by now. With the best record in all of Football this year too.
I now hope the GB Packers win the SB so I can bump this thread to say.... I told you so![]()
You’re probably right. After all, it’s all about offense . I actually did a simulation today and I drafted Evan Neal at 4 followed by Ikem Ekwonu at 7 followed by Trey McBride at 35 .Instead of GB investing 13 first round picks on DEFENSE since drafting Rodgers (mostly busts) I bet if they would've used at least 8 of those 1st round picks on more WRs, O-Linemen, TEs and RBs they would have at least 3-4 SBs.
If your going to google at least take the time to be accurate. You missed Jordy Nelson WR.All I'm saying is Green Bay has invested in nothing but Defense since drafting Aaron Rodgers. And they've neglected and ignored his Offense (outside of 2nd round D. Adams) which is why Aaron Rodgers has been pissed the fk off @ his front office.
The reason why GB can score at will is because Aaron Rodgers is probably the most talented QB of All-Time and if surrounded by more offensive help he could've became the GOAT.
GB unfortunately have done an awful job @ drafting 1st and 2nd round Defensive players. Bust after bust after bust after bust and then a backup QB? Rodgers is pissed off.

Go back and tell us how many WRs,Tackles, TEs, RBs etc the took with their 2nd ,3rd and 4th round picks. When your picking as late as green bay every year you dont have much remaining as far as blue chips once on the clock. Besides the bust rate being what it is for WRs, Green bay has drafted well.
And like I stated I have no problem with building up the offense . I just prefer to build up the whole team simultaneously. This year’s draft offer so much help along the OL it would be wise to address the weaknesses of the defense earlier along with strategic offensive positions like WR AND TE.Jordy was taken #36 overall in the 2008 draft. that is a second rounder.
but DWC makes a simple point...GB has used most of their 1st rounders on defensive players since AR took over as their starter, so it seems like GB doesn't only concentrate on offense; they just have not had good luck hitting on those picks.
that being said, IMO, the premise of the thread is sound, because running and defense are musts at this point in the year.
one thing to consider though is AR12's ability to stay on the field with sustained drives by a short passing game and that they have a good one-two punch at RB...the best defense is a good offense, so AR12 is their best defensive weapon in terms of keeping opponents out of the end zone.

I like all of this except the last line . Even if it’s 100% true . You have to build a smart physical defensive front 7 thoughnot sure if this is more about GB or what the Jets should do to build correctly, but if you look at the guy who wins the superbowl every year, he has one a top offensive line and a top defense every year. that's why he wins. put Rodgers on tompabay, he wins the superbowl. put him on the old patriots for 20 years, he wins a bunch of suoerbowls. leave him where he is and if he gets to the tompabay game, he will be chased around the field the entire game, while the other guy stands on his X all game with no one within 5 yards of him, waiting for someone to get open.
build both lines. get a decent smart QB, plug in a few other complimentory players, and we will win. simple. just follow belichicks plan
