there is so many levels of blame to go around but yes it starts at the top...

Maccagnan has an eye for talent but the miscue is the type of talent this roster needs...

Selecting Todd Bowles to be the head man is and was questionable to why he chose him... TB is known as a motivator but so far this past season this roster seems to be fractured in many ways... Far from him to motivate and get them fired up to start the game with intensity...

Too many emotionally charged players on one roster is explosive negatively... From Fitzpatrick who gets in his own way calling everyone else out but taking a real look in the mirror... To Brandon Marshall a media charged emotional wreck... Then we have immature Sheldon Richardson, enough is enough... After this season all three should, could be gone...

Can't Wait for the off season, changes are a coming...

Just my opinion. I feel Todd Bowles wasnt Mac's choice. I feel Casserly and Wolf thought it would be a tremendous match for the Jets organization to pair both of them. If we go 5-11, Mac should have some input in Woodys ear to select his own coach.

3. Mistake free football is his game..
4.. This offense is very much suited for him and guys that come out of the Spread O in College

Let the kid play... Let'er fly and lets see what we have... personally I think he deserves at least 4-6 weeks before we can give a full assessment of who he is and what he will be... But I am sure after his first start Media and fans will declare him boom or bust

Agreed, its admirable that he has such awareness as a neophyte, a rare quality for young players, but he gets what the NFL is all about, NOT FOR LONG if you don't produce. A few weeks ago he said something similar and elaborated on it more. He basically said that he knows he has to be prepared when his opportunity comes, he has to make sure that he plays well so they can never take him out of the lineup. Thats a kid who gets it. Whether he fails or succeeds, he understands what pro football is all about.

there is truth in what Petty is saying BUT, we are clamoring to see something, anything else different then the same old ego manacle savior that has been dressed up as a Jets quarterback... the truth be told, Fitzpatrick has this rage in his game that doesn't allow common sense... he is more focused on being the hero when in reality he is the villain to his own team... in a conservative game plan he can be a good quarterback unless he starts to think and get cute which hurts the team...

FITZ IS NOT THE PROBLEM!!!

Fitz doesn't have the power to install himself into these games week after week after week after week.

The problem, THE REAL PROBLEM, is that Slingblade impersonator we call a coach, who repeats "Ryan is our Quarterback" after every loss, like its a no-brainer, incredulous that reporters would even ask him that question, like we have Joe Montana back there.

I have to agree! Fitz did throw the go ahead TD and the damn ST lost the game allowing the freakn TD on the kick off!

We are a bad team and constantly find ways to lose! Fitz didn't play great yesterday but he also didn't give up that damn TD.

Fitz is the problem; the whole dichotomy of the football game changes when you have a QB making plays consistently that are positive for the team. He throws an int in the endzone if he doesn't do that. The complexion of the game changes... He throws an into inside of our own 25 and that changes the complexion of the game.. His negative situations is a minimum of a 6 pt swing possibly 10... He is making more negative plays by far; and not just the turnovers, it's the missed reads, the bad throws, the awful pocket awareness this year that is adversely affecting the whole team, the situations on the field, the whole damn game.... FITZ is the main problem . It's cause and affect.. plain and simple... When he plays well in a game we are 3-1. When he plays making the above mistakes consistently in a game we are 0-5. End of Story...

I would hope by now that everyone (including this stubborn CS) knows who Fitz is. We got lucky with him last season, and were hoping for lightning in a bottle again with him this year, but he has reverted back to the old-ugly Fitz and isn't snapping out of it.

I think we would all love to see what we have in Petty, we can only hope that the CS comes to grips with reality sooner rather than later.

Bowles and the CS are the problem. Consider the position groups: QB, RB, WR, TE, OL, DL, LB, DB, and special teams. Which group is showing improvement? Which group is playing better than their talent level might have you guess? The only one where you could make an argument is WR, in my opinion. Everywhere else we are getting WORSE. This team has the talent to win a bunch of games and we are going to win 5 or 6.

Let me apologize and say this is probably all my fault Jets faithful... Maybe this is on me and others like me who dislike Fitsgarbage as much as I do with a FUCKING PASSION, that TB won't see the light and bench that Hack of a QB for Petty or Hack. Maybe God is punishing us. I want this so damn bad and have been on Fitzshitty's ass for so long that maybe were just doomed with this idiot until (who knows when). No matter what happens, we just can't seem to get rid of this guy. I mean this is worst then the Sanchez crisis. At least Sanchez was a young and developing player at the time and we all hoped he would blossom but he didn't. Fitz is a old washed up journeymen who was never that good in the first place.

I'm blaming myself here because I never personally wanted him in the first place but when they did sign him last year, I never thought in a million years he would start but then came jawbreak gate. Then he has a very good season all to nout because they don't even make the playoffs. Then these morons resign him, which was understandable but I be damned if I didn't want him back. Now we have this horrid season to deal with, in which he should have been benched a game or two earlier then he did. Then when he finally gets benched, Geno gets hurt again without even playing a full half and now TB won't bench him again even though this seems to be the perfect time to do it.

Knowing our luck, no matter how Fitz plays and whether he gets benched or not, they will probably resign his ass for a three year deal for $60 mil. So I know I'm reaching and over exaggerating here but what the hell is it? Does Fitz have photos on TB, Gainey, Mac and the Johnson doing drugs together or running a train on a prostitute or at some weird perverted S & M club or something? I mean what the hell is it, REALLY??? If it isn't that then is God just punishing us fans who what Fitz gone so bad, that it's not morally correct to think the things we think. Obviously this isn't the case but I would really like to know because the Jets are obviously out of the playoff race. With any QB on our roster and if TB or anyone else on the coaching staff or management believes they are, they're idiots!!!

This franchise has zero hope. This is the first time I haven't had Sunday Ticket. I will not support this team for the foreseeable future. Petty is worth a look, but the whole entire CS and front office sucks. If I was a fan with season tickets I would stop showing up at the games. I don't care how Petty becomes the QB, but if he is not next week then I will never know if he played because I won't watch another minute of this trash.

I'm with you here and stopped watching them for about 2-3 weeks now. Unfortunately, I was the idiot that paid for the Sunday ticket, but I watch numerous games to try still and get my money's worth. Still not the same as watching a competent and competitive Jets team but it is what it is.

In fitzpatricks interview, he talks about having a lot of reps worth starters,so not getting them this week isn't an issue.
Which tells me petty is seeing some good 1st team reps this week. Never a bad thing. Also let's him get some reps with Smith who can be our deep threat.
