Vyncint Smith has done a little bit of everything but has not cemented himself as any particular weapon on the team, then walks in priority free agent George Campbell who was a transfer from Florida State that came to WVU and was a big playmaker in the red zone and a tall target for the Mountaineers and led the receiving core in touchdowns and made big 12 rankings for touchdowns!!!
For Campbell at WVU, his first catch was a touchdown in the season opener against James Madison, Campbell became a fixture on special teams in Morgantown, before making his presence felt in the secondary snagging 10 of his 19 catches for 184 yards in his final two games in the old gold and blue. Additionally, seven of his 19 catches on the year were for touchdowns.
Smith also a priority free agent could be battling this year's free agent in George Campbell for an active roster spot... It is believed the team like V. Smith's body of work from special team's gunner and part time kick returner but Campbell brings the same skill set to the table, it will depend on who puts forth a better footing...
