No I’m not a Giants fan as I’m sure any of Jets fans are not. I actually hate the Giants about as much as I do the Patriots. So I could care less about their business, as do all of you but this topic has to be discussed a bit. I am just stunned and can not believe that they did not draft Haskins yesterday. What are these idiots thinking? I personally think they live to regret this move for the next 15-20 years.
Now it’s not like last year when they messed up not drafting Darnold but then again did very well because they drafted Barkley. Barkley is a A-plus pick in anyway, shape, form or fashion. So they might not regret that as much as this. Not drafting Haskins for Jones is like WTF!!! Haskins was staring them right in the damn face and they took another QB, that’s not Haskins level instead. They say Jones is actually a second day draft pick player really.
They weren’t in our situation where we couldn’t have gone wrong either way. Draft Q or Allen or trade back for a haul and take an oline men in the first. Can’t really go wrong either way there. I’m personally not happy with the Q pick but understand and hope the best for him and our team. This was just all out stupid by the Giants. Haskins will be crushing the Giants twice a year for the next 15-20 years.
Maybe they just didn’t want Haskins taking the job from Eli so quickly, like this year. Jones will probably ride the bench for a year or two, while Eli can work his non-magic and get the Giants a few more top ten picks, as they go 3-13 to 6-10 over the next year or two. Their loyalty to Eli is unbelievable and not even warranted at this point. I just hope the Jets are this loyal to Darnold when he’s in his 40’s and can no longer do it. Hopefully he’s won us a few SB(s) by then.
