There is no way you believe all of this. You are comparing Gipson who has made one big play in his career to Garrett Wilson. Yes Garrett needs to make that play, but that didn't cost them the game. Gipson flipped the momentum. Now Glenn putting him on the team is his fault, but he did at least take care of it. Glenn has had one game to change the Jets culture. Even the most pessimistic Jets fan which according to
@jets82 I am that fan would give the new coaching staff time to prove themselves. I agree they need to win and prove themselves weekly, but I think week one was a great step in that direction. I'm not judging Glenn based on past Jet failures. I will let him succeed or fail on his own.
WTH, AM I READING THIS CORRECTLY??? TCT allowing the Jets coaching staff and players time to prove themselves without judging them so harshly! WTF, this is a joke right? Tell me I’m dreaming. WOW
Anyway, I agree with you TCT. I don’t know what Bigmoe and CH issue is but you can clearly see that the Jets should have won that game. NO THEY DIDN’T, I get that and there’s no such thing as moral victories but there are the facts and they can’t be denied.
The Jets crushed the Steelers all around except for where it counted most, the final score. I don’t know the stats verbatim but they ran for 183 to the Steelers 54. They threw for 211 to the Steelers 220. Jets lead in time of possession by about 10 minutes.
The Gibson turnover, stupid costly penalties and the defensive collapses/blown defensive assignments in the secondary is what cost them the game. Oh, the Jets had 4 sacks to the Steelers 1. The oline dominated the Steelers all damn game, which is something else to truly note.
If this isn’t something to be excited about I don’t know what the hell is! The defense usually plays much better than the offense. So we should trust in that and believe that AG and the defensive coordinators will get that settled.
Gibson is gone, so as long as they can get a reliable punt and kick returner, that problem is fixed. The Jets put up 32 points against a Steelers defense of Probowlers and future HOFers and they only have 1 true reliable WR. Speaking of G-dub, yeah he dropped that last pass but he played a HELL OF A GAME!
I love what I saw last Sunday (besides the final score of course) and I can’t wait for this Sunday. I wholeheartedly believe the Jets can and will win this game. That’s mostly because it’s at home and I believe they will fix those mistakes and win either a close one or by damn near 20.
