Now Gase loses the locker room completely. Players are released for nothing in return this off-season, we embark on a multi year rebuild with Gase's hand picked guys. Suck for another 3 years , Extend Gase then blow it all up after year 5.....

Teams should have been told "they aren't on the table, we're not dealing them". The fact that Joe said "here's the price and you can have them" just shows you how disingenuous his is.

Adams is claiming his agent called him yesterday and was told Douglas was trying to trade him.
I was kind of thinking the same but it doesn't stop this from looking bad if people want to look at it badly. We won't ever know the truth
that's what looks bad but agents are full of crap too so who knows but with Adams posting that this becomes a mess

Nah, Agent has absolutely nothing to gain here. He told Adams about it yesterday, well before anything leaked today. Like I said, Douglas is doing Damage Control.

I believe this, other teams told Adams' agent that they were trying to trade for his client and JD did place a price tag which no one would dare agree too...
It is the job of a GM to listen to all offers no matter how ridiculous it may seem or just because some desperate organization might just sell the house for one player...
Have to believe that every GM has an untouchable list and Joe D's list includes Sam Darnold, Le'Veon Bell, Jamal Adams and CJ Mosley just because what they mean to the team... Now of course if the right offer came for anyone of those four then would be stupid not to consider it...
Also have to remember, teams want to cause friction between players and their current situations because when those situations are heading to free agency it makes it that much easier to pouch those players away from the original/current teams...
Yes we know Adams stated in the past he would of loved to play in Dallas because it is his hometown team, but his father played in New York not the Jets but all the same it has meaning to him... I do believe him when he said he made it known he is happy here and wants to stay with gang green...

Douglas did state in his press conference when asked if there were untouchable players that there was. Darnold....
I don't know who to believe and don't really care. Make the team better by any means necessary.
