Now that the draft is over and we had a moment to soak in everything, what is everyone's final grade for this draft?

I vote B+.

It would have been a higher grade had we not drafted a safety in the second round. Maye seems like a solid player but we could have used Cook there.

Gave a B+

We drafted need, well now that we know that Devin Smith is heading to IR or injury settlement makes sense why they took not one but two receivers... There are questions on whether Decker will be ready to compete like he was suppose to be... Then finally adding a TE, but who admits he is a lazy is concerning... Adding another Bilal Powell type running back shows the value they are searching for...

Two safeties, may of been questionable but understanding now what the team can do with said lineup and depth with a versatile monster in Adams, a coverage center fielder in Maye...

Two lengthy corners, Clark a press cover corner and D. Jones a special team ace/gunner both will bring competitiveness to one of and possibly the worst part of our team last year...

Edge Rusher in college, Donahue looks to be a special team's player and will see time as inside linebacker giving depth behind David Harris...

Just off the needed positions, I gave them a B+

Two corners, two safeties, two WRs, RB, ER and a TE. Not bad at all.

Now the rest if the grade is up to how the players perform and how they coach them up.

I gave a flat B, if only because I think they did not diversify enough in positioning and didn't seek out OL at all - that and Maccagnan not getting enough when the team traded down within 2017.

I gave it a C+. A deep draft for CB's and we wait until the 6th Rd to grab 2 unknowns. I like the 2 Safeties. After that I wasn't sure who was doing the Drafting Mac or Rich Kotite.

Gave a B. Filled some holes. Now just let's hope at least 3 of these picks make the team as starters. Actually, the most exciting aspect of the draft is that no QB's were taken. Seems to signal that one of the kids is better than the rumors suggest.

i gave it a B+. turned 7 picks into 9 players and a future asset. got a stud to lead off and some nice middle round picks at WR, TE, RB and CB's with size. emphasized physical, smart players. may have been higher if not for the maye pick; liked the player but preferred others at that spot to address other needs

It's pretty obvious to me objectively speaking that this was an excellent draft. I did not necessarily like the selections made and where they were taken, but Mac didn't really have a choice?

I completely support taking BPA. I think it's a wonderful draft strategy that keeps your roster going with constant young, talented bucks waiting in the wings. Mac took BPA throughout this draft.

You can't fault Mac for not taking an OL in this draft. This draft was pretty much the worst draft I can remember in regards to OL talent. Now, we could discuss his inability to at least take some depth for the OL, but once again I don't think Mac had depth in mind?

My feeling is he came into this draft identifying the secondary as an area of tremendous depth throughout the draft. To his point, Ohio St., Alabama, Washington, and Florida all had defensive backs selected in the draft. This draft was considered to be one of the all time greats in regards to defensive backs. So what better sense than to take DB's in this draft?

You could also attempt to criticize by saying, Mac already had so many holes on the roster that it was impossible for him NOT to come out of the draft with talent.

All in all, my feeling is Mac went where the talent was in this draft and stuck to BPA. Just about all of those picks in the 4th or later would have gone much higher in any normal draft? It's just that this draft was just so loaded with talent that many talented players slid to the late rounds. It happens.

So he went into the draft with what? 6 draft choices? He came out with 9 and an extra 5th rounder next year. From a value standpoint, I think that is some pretty successful wheeling and dealing.

But what excites me the most is I figured with the draft being as talented as it was that Mac MUST come away with at least 3 starters? I figure Adams and Maye are day 1 starters, barring injury of course. Jordan Leggett is more than likely a starter and you could make a case to think that the two defensive backs selected in the 6th round could be day 1 starters? All in all, you could be possibly looking at 5 new starters for the team.

And I'm not just saying starters.....I mean what's the point of starters if they suck? If they are only starters because they play on such a weak team? No. I am thinking these kids could very well be the real deal? Real live players that pop from day one for the team. Who knows? But my optimism meter is at full tilt right now.

B easy...

S Jamal Adams A - was the 2nd best player in the draft and a need. A need from the safety position (communication was so bad last year, he'll fix that) and the leadership he will bring

S Marcus Maye A - Outside of cook one of the higest graded players at that point. DB's were a mess last year.

WR ArDarius Stewart B+ - With Marshall suspended and up and down last year. They got a better version of him to replace him. He has a sneaky upside. Love this pic

WR Chad Hansen B - A little shocked we wnet with Hansen here considering the WR depth and the previous pick but as far as talent goes. He is an Eric Decker clone. and with the Smith torn ACL I understand this pick..

TE Jordan Legget A - Great value pick for a position of need in the 5th rd. Has great size, good speed. Can't complain about this pick

Dylan Donahue D - High motor High intensity guy. Huge risk not sure high reward pick. and he's 25 so he doesn't have a lot of time to be a developmental guy. But we will see

RB Elijah McGuire B - Another good value pick. Very good hands out of the backfield. Great situational player.

CB Jeremy Clark C - Good player and went later than he should have if he was healthy but coming off a torn ACL may not be ready for Camp. But talent is there.

CB Derrick Jones B+ - Project pick at CB. He has all the measurable to be a great CB but he is 1 yr CB.. Converted from WR. So a lot to learn at CB but a great ST's player and this is the sort of forgotten and overlooked biggest need the Jets have on the roster

Jut my take

Gave it a B. A lot of very solid choices with an eye towards rebuilding the culture of a broken team. Props to Woody for seeing beyond next year and allowing MM/TB to rebuild this team properly. At least that is what I think just happened. In the past we would have signed Jay Cutler and other has beens in free agency and reached in the draft. This off-season has a refreshing tone, and one that is absolutely necessary. It is also refreshing to read a lot of the realistic and positive feedback from a majority of participants on this site. Only time will tell, but this is clearly a step in the right direction in my opinion. Hopefully, the next step is to continue off-loading the dead wood and bad apples.

I went with a B-

If we weren't drafting a QB I would have definitely tried to get one of those deals that got us a next year first round pick. They were out there and having two ones next year might be paramount in getting our franchise QB guy. I would have taken less to make that happen. Mission number one as a GM is figuring out the most important position in sports.

Other than not addressing the Oline (seems the Jets are allergic to that) all the picks were sound and none of them reaches. Might have taken Cook with the second. Saw a bunch of FSU games and think he's a difference maker. Upgraded the team but still no understanding of our strategy for a QB. Still hoping Hackenberg surprises everyone but that could be a pipe dream.

I graded this as a B+ and agree with MJ regarding OL but would add QBs...

S Jamal Adams A - was rated a top 3 player in the draft and filled a need.

S Marcus Maye A – Solid pick and like Adams can play both FS/SS.

WR ArDarius Stewart B – enough said…

WR Chad Hansen B- With ED maybe not being as ready as they thought they took his clone and with the Smith torn ACL the picj makes sense. ..

TE Jordan Legget A - Great value pick for a position let’s hope they can motivate him…
Dylan Donahue C - High motor and intensity. Hoping Greene can get him to play at the NFL level.

RB Elijah McGuire B+- Another all-purpose back like Powell good value pick.

CB Jeremy Clark C- - Good player but had a torn ACL may not be ready for Camp.. he has talent which means he could be a steal. .

CB Derrick Jones B+ - Project pick at CB, let’s hopethey coach him up!.

I gave it a B- for the same reasons.

So the fire everyone and mac sucks comments seem to have gone silent.

I think its a solid B. Nothing flashy, but we got a lot of bodies with talent in needed areas. Time will tell.

I give it an A. They let the draft come to them, didn't reach for need, and got a handful of players that should see the field regularly this season. IMO this is exactly what a team in their situation needed to do. I can't fault it.
