Arguably the best EDGE rusher in this draft was a must for a struggling defense that couldn't bring constant pressure to the QB last year. Now we have some first step explosiveness with a Veteran albeit aged Vet bringing back Demario Davis, the main deal was to get faster with on the fly thinking and reaction now we have that in spades after taking Bailey with our first pick.

Surprising to me that we went tight end but Sadiq is the best vertical threat with over the top speed. He will be primarily matchup nightmares in the slot. His blocking is sub par but his overall catch radius will give Geno Smith plenty of options over the middle.

Final pick moving back into the first round taking Omar Cooper, a physical receiver that can play outside would match up against bigger corners but is willing to go get contested throws. Capability to shed blocks and move inside. Not as explosive as Wilson but would give us a two headed monster at receiver for the next four years with fifth year team option. It will all come down to if Arian Smith can elevate his game then we can create nightmare matchups with these three receivers plus Mason Taylor & Kenyon Sadiq.

We have our running backs for at least next year, a decent offensive line. now we have something to look forward too outside simply hand off every 7 downs.

Defense after last year still needs to focus on the defensive line in this draft, but we need to also get more role players that can spot start at linebacker in case of injuries. Our corner situation is decent enough but we need more physical willing to tackle corners.

Thoughts???

Go ahead give it to me...

I hope that "decent" offensive line gives Smith time to find his new targets.
They still need help there, especially on the interior.

Loving all three picks. We just need to see them on the field doing it now. Stay healthy, stay focused and play hard fellas. Welcome to the New York Jets!

Good to see you posting. Hope you're doing well.
Agree with your assessment. I can see CB being addressed in next year's draft. There are some game changers in round 1 . Could be a LB tonight at 44
