Maybe he forgot to take the selection off of half speedApparently Hackett has told reporters that he underestimated Micah Parsons' speed. He had a week to watch the tape of the Week One Giants-Cowboys game, but re-runs of HeeHaw proved more pressing.
Figures. Maybe Payton's comments had some truth to them?Apparently Hackett has told reporters that he underestimated Micah Parsons' speed. He had a week to watch the tape of the Week One Giants-Cowboys game, but re-runs of HeeHaw proved more pressing.
I never doubted.Figures. Maybe Payton's comments had some truth to them?
So just thinking about this, but I have a hard time believing he "underestimated Parsons". I'm sure he game planned for him and his speed was the #1 topic, but what is he supposed to say? "We discussed this and prepared for it all week but the O line sucks ass and didn't do their job?"Hackett said they underestimated Parsons speed? What a fucking moron.
If he did game plan for Parsons, he is worse than I thought. Didn't chip him once.So just thinking about this, but I have a hard time believing he "underestimated Parsons". Duane Brown is cooked! He needs to be replaced on the line, it's time to move on.
Oh it was horrible all around and plenty of blame to go around everywhere. But watching Brown just sit out there and do nothing leads me to believe the players were incapable of executing the gameplan, because I don't think there is a single gameplan on the planet that says sit your fat ass there and watch the defender go hit your teammates. If he did game plan for Parsons, he is worse than I thought. Didn't chip him once.
Sean Payton was right. Russ looks way better without Hackett.I’m not going to judge the OC until I see a competent QB back there playing. If Saleh pulls the trigger for Siemien at least we have a mediocre QB back there. Run heavy and a ton of play action and let’s see if we can put some points on the board
That’s possible, but seeing what Hackett did with Kyle Boyler I still feel like he is a good OC who is getting a bad rap. Rodger’s has nothing but great things to say about him and won 2 MVPs playing in his system. Russ only played well for Pete Carroll and we all see what he’s done with Geno.Sean Payton was right. What about the OC helping the QB to succeed? If Siemien succeeds then I will back off Hackett a little. If he looks like Zach then I will be convinced he is only good when Rodgers makes all the calls. That’s possible, but seeing what Hackett did with Kyle Boyler I still feel like he is a good OC who is getting a bad rap. I’m sticking with “let me see a competent QB play in the system before I judge the OC”
Zach has succeeded with NO OC, so it’s extremely difficult for me to wrap any of his play into an unbiased assessmentWhat about the OC helping the QB to succeed? Everybody sucks behind the ragtag offensive line that we currently have. We have a rookie left tackle, a rookie center, a left guard everyone wanted rid of before the season, a right guard who was on Dallas's PS three weeks ago, and a right tackle who missed a lot of time with a medical condition. Watch other games and see how a consistent coordinated line opens up the playbook. Boyle is the #2 and should get a look with a week of practice snaps behind the offensive line du jour. A number of QB injuries around the league and nobody has snatched the superman Siemian from our PS.Hackett is still a huge problem. Let's see how bad he is with Siemien if Salah pulls the trigger. Boyle sucks, but he meed the ball a little in garbage time. Zach was relieved and almost encouraged a QB change in his press conference. He wanted out and wants out so bad. Salah needs to go to Siemien to save the team. They need to have some success and I don't know if he can provide any, but this team needs something anything to go into the off season with. If they go 4-13 just punt next season too. They will never recover and then trading all your talent and start another rebuild.
Wilson's numbers this year compared to last year are night and day. Hackett is the common denominator.I’m not going to judge the OC until I see a competent QB back there playing.
