Hams TOP 7 Remaining Players for the Jets in RD 2

I'm only picking players for the Jets, so I'm not counting certain positions like Safety and D-line.

HAMS TOP 10

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER

Davis Webb, QB, California
Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State
Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama
Forrest Lamp, OL, Kentucky
Gerald Everett, TE, South Alabama
Adam Shaheen, TE, Ashland
Jordan Willis, ER, Kansas State
Tim Williams, ER, Alabama
Sidney Jones, CB, Washington

Williams and Jones come with some risk. Williams failed drug tests and got arrested with a gun, and Jones is recovering from a torn achilles, but IMO these are the best seven players left for the Jets at positions of real need. If you want a QB then I suppose you can add Kizer.

Williams is a beast off the edge and Jones was, at worst, the second best CB in the draft if he didn't get hurt, maybe the best.

Kevin King is a good player, there are a few more I could have listed, but I listed my BEST 7 at positions of need for the Jets and IMO he didn't crack that list. If we want to hit the jackpot at CB, hope and pray Sidney Jones falls to 39. That was was a TOP 10 Pick if he didn't get hurt, and reportedly he is recovering ahead of schedule. He would be a STEAL at 39. I could argue he's better than Lattimore, and probably would have if he didn't get hurt.

If Dalvin Cook can fall to us, I'd be ecstatic. That man is a game changer. I hope they don't prevent themselves from drafting him because of Forte on the roster. I'd cut Forte tomorrow. He's old and I run faster!

I definitely would have included King in that list.

Honestly, with King, Jones, Robinson, and Cook all on the board, there's a good chance the Jets land a very good player at #39. I think highly of both CBs, and am very high on King. Love his size at the position.

Any of those players would be a good pick. Mac needs to take the safe pick and get someone that can contribute.

I think a first round talent will be available at that spot. All four of those guys are first round talent.

There was even some talk among teams in the bottom of the first that they'd have to trade up to get some of the names still available.

have to think on the Jets big board that MLB Raekwon McMillan is a prime target for their 2nd round selection...

another player that the Jets could look to snag is Curtis Samuel a RB-WR hybrid that is a kick returner who has the excellent change of direction to be a punt returner...

Jets need a MLB on defense while also of need a play maker at both positions RB & WR...

yes we could go CB or TE with the second pick as well but think those two Buckeyes may be a top of our big board just because of what they would bring long term...

There's only one player left on the board who most likely would have been a TOP 10 Pick had he not gotten hurt, minimum TOP 15 ... Sidney Jones.

Anyone who watched that kid cover WR's like a blanket at Washington would be saying prayers right now that he falls to us at 39

I agree. I would guess perhaps we don't know what the teams know about his injury, if he's still on the board. King didn't have his upside, but also doesn't have that medical concern.

If Jets are starting over, I would think Jets would finish rebuilding the Defense with a good running game. Options Pass rusher, RB, CB, finish D & then next year Draft a QB & all Offensive skilled positions. Jets will be a 1-3 pick in Draft next year to get a QB & rebuild the entire Offensive O Line & WR-TE-RB.

It would take some gonads for Mac to select Jones at #39. I'm all for it! That's setting the team up for quite a defense in 2018.

I think there is a TON of talent left. Almost similar to last night where itll be hard to screw it up (please mac, don't find a way).

Top offensive options: Dalvin Cook, Curtis Samuel, Zay Jones*(I believe the fsb all time leader in receptions, a reliable, big time target that may end up being the bst wr in this draft), JuJu Smith-Shuster, Donta Foreman (although you prob cant take him at 6 but if trading down into late 2nd im all for it).

Top defensive options: Tim Williams, Jordan Willis, Kevin King, Chidobe Awuzie, Sid Jones, Zack Cunningham, Ryan McMillan, Malik McDowell

Out of all the guys above, if I had to narrow it down to 3 players I would pick between Cook (legit game changing back, and a guy like adams/guy like harris on this team can have a positive influence on any character concerns), Awuzie, Zay Jones

Sidney Jones will go to Seahawks at 34th pick...

I wonder if they go King, because he's more the prototype they utilize.

wouldn't be shocked to see King go to the Packers at 33...

Seahawks aren't in desperate need at CB but would be an investment at 34 with Jones... Seahawks also have the 58th pick to get that prospect they NEED...

I'd be disappointed if both CBs went 33 and 34.

Truth is, land one of those guys, and the team has really revamped what had been an awful secondary. The whole defense would be different with Adams and either Jones or King.
