I have sent CJ and JD letters about the team. And post something daily on NYJ,COM. Here are some excerpts:
Mr. Johnson, I also find your statement about being frustrated by not winning curious because you hired the HC with a losing record and an incompetent GM (who you later fired, thank goodness). So, either your judgement regarding a person’s football capabilities - not knowledge - is fundamentally flawed or worse you choose to ignore the facts about past performance.
AND...
One last comment before, I start on QB. You both continue to speak about the job Adam Gase did holding the team together at 1-7 and going 6-2 over that half of season. Well I guess that depends on your perspective because isn’t that what he gets paid to do? To create an environment where players want to play and perform. Indeed, it is. Yet somehow, you overlook the losses, the team’s unpreparedness in a lot of games and routinely getting out coached.
What am I missing gentleman? Please, enlighten me? The team had a losing record in 2019. Repeat, the team had a losing record and the primary reason you won seven games (7) was because of the strength of schedule in the second half, which BTW was the easiest in the league. And not to be out done, Mr. Gase has lead the team to 0- w-l record resulting in this team being an embarrassment and laughing stock of the league. But like Mr. Douglas stated last year, it’s hard to win in the NFL. Well, it seems the Packers, Niners, Seattle, Pitt, NE do not have that problem.
So, gentlemen is mediocrity now the standard for this team? I expect you to say, of course not, but you both are responsible for the composition of this team as presently constituted and the coaching staff.
Maybe mediocrity is the standard but frankly you have to be competent and competitive to even reach that lofty goal. However, the product that you both are responsible for is not even close to that standard becase they most often are inept, are unprepared, are undisciplined and play without any emotion. Maybe it I expect too much but I do not think so.
