1.) 3 CBs is a necessity - and not because I forgot about Milliner, but rather because ALL teams need 4 decent CBs.
The Jets have ZERO currently, other than Milliner, who may take as long as another year to recover mentally, after his physical recovery is completed.
Few players come back 100% in the year following a significant injury. Almost all take at least another 6 months to a year to trust the injured and rehabbed body part fully.
2,) FB was left off the list because only 19 exist in the entire NFL players list.
2 of those 19 being on the Jets roster.
A solid blocking TE weighs more than a FB, generally, is generally at least as proficient at receiving, and is more of a headache for defenses to read - to figure out if a play is going to be a run or a pass.
Kuhn was listed as a TE in GB, originally, (he came into the NFL as a LB in PIT), but has since been re-tagged as a FB.
The 2 positions have become quite interchangeable in today's NFL, with TEs now doing the lion's share of blocking in the backfield for the QB - especially since all-around FBs with the complete skill set of a William Henderson or Mack Strong being as rare as hen's teeth these days.
