So you have about half a dozen or so players/coaches being inducted. You have Aaron Rodgers to the Jets, the biggest story in the off-season, you have the first football game of the season (Jets vs Browns). Yet NBC manages to fit in Devin McCourty pre-game talks.

At least you get to watch it! DIRECTV has some bullshit contract negotiations battle going with NBC, FOX and a few other local channels. These channels are block and I can’t even see the game! I have it set up to be recorded when NFL network shows it later on tonight!

I’m in Virginia and I don’t know why there is a difference but down here that channel and a few others are blocked! DIRECTV gave me a $20 discount for this month and free 3-month subscription for HBO, Cinemax and some other movie channel. So I’ll get to watch Hard Knocks for free this year!

Fwiw I tried watching the game on Pcock+. Kept buffering and fell too far behind. I was able to watch it on my phone but the screen was too small to see everything. Ultimately I stopped watching right at the A Rod interview. Saw it this morning NFL+ Premium where I can mirror it to my flat screen. The league won't allow you to do that during a live broadcast though. I see Youtube has Sunday Ticket now but I imagine it being costly.

Personally I'm okay not watching the live Jet games. I can listen live if I so desire and I can watch right after the game concludes for $79/yr.

I wanted to watch it in delay on dazn, only to find out that only 'highlights' were available. These 'highlights' are put together by morons, with repeated sections and then the last five minutes of the second and fourth quarters missing. Why do American sports networks think that people watch sports to see them interviewing people rather than commentating on the actual game?

Direct TV is out You tube has Sunday Ticket. Signed up early and got the discount. Was $230 bucks for the season……way cheaper than Direct. I used You Tube TV for everything and has had no buffering issues so far.

Direct TV will still handle NFL Sunday Ticket for commercial (bars, clubs) establishments. YouTube TV is for residential.
