If I had to guess that is probably what's penciled in as the plan. IMO Mauldin is going to be a good LB'er, but I doubt he is going to be the "Terror" off the edge . The Jets actually need more then one LB'er. Getting that edge guy would be a major up tick that IMO would put this D over the top.

With that all said if when the Jets pick, Macc isn't crazy about who the LB'er left on the board is, I'm good with an OT. Problem is, Macc has made it very clear he is going BAP. For all we know that could be another DT

Would love to see the Jets come out of draft with Floyd/Spence and a true 3 down ILB who can cover. Need a bookend for Mauldin.

Mostly agree. They dang sure better come out of this draft with a RT also. This is unless they are sold that Qvale can do the job
