I think a lot of us feared that the Fitz we saw last year was fools gold.
You should never allow yourself to be fooled by someones career year. Its possible he could be a late bloomer, but far more often than not, the following year you will see a stats correction and the player will revert back to who and what he has always been, not who and what he was when everything broke his way, including ideal weather conditions for the most part and a soft schedule. Fitz is a notoriously bad poor weather QB and last year, expect for the last game in Buffalo, we experienced aberrational Fall like conditions on the east coast, and our schedule was a million times softer than this one.
Lastly, as I pointed out in the game thread, if you look at Fitz's last four games, going back to last years debacle in Buffalo to close out the season, with a playoff berth on the line, Fitz has basically been really good in one of those games, last week in Buffalo, pretty bad in one of them, the home opener verses Cinci, and atrocious in two of them, the season killer in Buffalo and today in KC. One week is one week, anyone can have a bad game, but if you break a players performance down by quarters and evaluate him on that scale, over the past quarter of a season Fitz has been one of the main reasons this team is 1-3. The main reason for the one win, one of the main reasons we dropped the home opener, and the main reason for the losses in Buffalo at the end of 2015 and in KC today.
In other words, this career journeyman is trending in the wrong direction, and the schedule doesn't get any easier.
