How long before we make a switch at Quarterback?

Are you not watching young QB's and rookie QB's playing and winning all over the NFL this year?

Dak Prescott, Paxton Lynch, Carson Wentz, three rookies off the top of my head who are playing and winning games, yet you are telling me that there's no way Bryce Petty, in year two, can give us a better chance to win games than Sucky Fitzsuckin?

If thats true, then you might as well just call Petty a bust and say we should cut him.

If he can't do better than this INT machine, what does that say about Petty?

I'm tired of hearing "NOT READY" when I'm watching young QB's win games all over the damn league.

YES. I am saying Petty is not ready. He came out of a single read offense and none of the QB's you mentioned played in a similar offense. He was deemed to be at least a 3 year project to begin with. All of the QB's you mentioned played in pro style offenses. Not to mention, not one of them is available for the Jets to acquire......

He still gives the Jets their best chance at winning and thinking he would be benched in favor of Bryce Petty would only happen in the event that the season is lost. The Jets still have a chance only 4 games in.......... It's ludicrous to think anything otherwise. At least for 2016 the Jets are handcuffed to Fitz...........

Paxton Lynch played in a similar spread offense at Memphis, very similar to Baylor.

A lot of draft gurus made the same arguments about Lynch being a project, for the same reasons.

Also, did Petty look "not ready" to you in the preseason, cause if he did, we weren't watching the same games, and by all accounts he had a terrific training camp too. Maybe he isn't ready, but I don't see why you are so sure that he isn't.

My only concern is, is he healthy?

A man can only endure so many INT's, and what is it now, 9 in the past two games?

I could see if he was throwing a lot of TD Passes too, but he isn't, the TD to INT ratio is abysmal.

Yet another great quote by you my great man. Bravo all around and this is what I've been saying all along. Start Petty, he can't be any worse then Fitz and will probably give us atleast what Fitz is, so what's the difference? We can't be no worse off then we already are so why not? Petty showed he improved greatly from year one to two. Hack may not be ready at all but Petty appears so. Hell, no one wants to see Geno on the field as a Jets again but I'll even take him right now. I wonder what all the Fitz apologist have to say now. Fitz will probably have 2 more games like this over the next 3-4 weeks. If this will be the case, how much longer before all or majority of Jets fans are on board here? Better question is, how long before TB and Mac are on board here?

Brandon Marshall just said on Jets post game that he's going down with Ryan Fitzpatrick. He meant he would live or die with Ryan Fitzpatrick and NO ONE else. I love Marshall's devotion and loyalty to his teammates................

But he's also right. This thread is complete nonsense. Nothing has changed since the offseason. Ryan Fitzpatrick is still the very best QB on this roster. Fitz gives us our best chance to win.

The ONLY QB change I could see that would be logical is if the Jets are 1-10, then they decide to start Bryce Petty and give him some playing time. It makes ZERO to even so much as contemplate benching Fitz unless the Jets are completely eliminated from playoff contention............

They keep starting Fitz and we'll be there. Trust me, we will be there soon enough. In a few weeks in fact or so I'm guessing.

Switch is fine, but JETS have only 1 Accurate QB on the roster & its Bryce Petty! Forget Fitz-Geno & draft bust QB this year whos all stats are INTs. Petty is the guy & see if he can play. But startuing anyone else will be the same out come...INT/LOSS. Start Petty.

SOJ - You clearly do NOT understand just like most of this site..........

You can call me crazy all you'd like, arrogant, whatever,,,,,,,I knew the Jets were going to suck this season. I posted it many times over. I predicted about 5 or 6 wins even with Fitz and it's actually coming before my very eyes.

I also know that Fitz maximizes our chances at winning and that is a FACT. There are no others on the roster that are ready to play better than Fitz has. Our next best option is Bryce Petty and I do think he should get a chance to play but ONLY in the event that the season is lost.

The bottom line is you all think this season can be corrected, I do not. I do not believe the team is good enough. The coaching was always suspect and I think currently the veil is coming off about Bowles.

And YES, I am fully aware and actually predict 1-6 before the Jets wins their next game........ The team just isn't that good and that was Jets fans miscalculation...........

As we can see Fitz has to have a direct pass route to WR's & CB's are under our WR's knowing this. Fitz cant drop in passes over defenders & never could. Geno also same issue but worse since he STARES at the one WR he is passing to,telegraphing his passes. Petty is the only QB that has a chance, but Gaileys system & showing pass or run to Defenses will make the Offense hard to be good, even for Peyton Manning or Brady in this stupid Offense. Why is Gailey sitting in the sky box? How come he isnt on the field with his Offense to have a pulse of how they feel in games? Arrogant ,snob? To good to be on the field with the Team? FIRE GAILEY. I'm sick of watching his play calling from sky box & laughable red zone calls are pathetic.
