Hw many years will Woody give Big mac, TB & company

Ok as I see it right or wrong.

2015 nice record but out of playoffs the year was a plus

2016 I don't see us in the playoffs this year but if we do a plus They say we are built to win now so if we don't make it a minus

Now If we don't make the playoffs this year (2017) We will have Petty or a DC or Fitz as the starter. If Fitz we will have a chance to make the playoffs based on good drafts & some nice FA signings over two years. If Petty he will be a first year starter & that should be a problem in getting to the playoffs. It could be worse if the second year guy starts.

2018 If petty is starting we could have the team by then & he would have a year under his belt. If he does not make it this years DC would be in his first year...so odds are no playoffs.


Now anything can happen but I am looking at this as if you took this team 100 times what would the average team do. So much can happen in this time period.


So what do I see? Three years counting last year we are out of the playoffs with this year(2016) being a worse year. If Petty does not make it we are in trouble & lose a year or two with another DC. So best case in my eyes is 2018 worst case is 2019. If all the QB's fail this group is out.

Now I think Brady is out by 2019 but what other teams will be better. Brady should not be factor in our eyes but for many he is so I put that in.

If I am right will the Jet fans be willing to wait. Woody must have a time frame on his mind. He has seats to sell!!! I think if Petty plays the fans will be behind him for a year or two.

Again, so many things can change for the good including trades FA,s etc.

This is why I want petty to start as soon as he is ready. This is why I want to draft a Qb. This is why I want big mac to get a Qb with a trade if he can even if he needs to overpay (a little) but he needs a top one.

Ok Shoot your Arrows I know I can fill this post with holes myself but we really need to be right 80% (100% on the qb) of the time going forward.

One last time If Fitz can't get it done now or Petty in two years we are in trouble.

Now one more thing that I have said before. We have many holes to fill but the problem here is by 2018 most of all out top players will be gone so some of the stars of tomorrow better be on the team now...it is a must. It all comes down to Big mac & a Qb with TB a close second. Woody too!


Now later on in the spring I will give my reasons why the Jets will do well the next few years. I just need to see more for the positive report LOL

A little positive!!!!

Who will be good now & in two years as a team.

1) Will Brady still be good or are the muskets running out of gunpowder
2) Are the Steelers & Ben's fire starting to burn out.
3) The Broncos have Sanchez not manning so are they still going to be Stampeding
4) The fish are still bottom feeding in the ocean.
5) The bills will be dealing with a two headed Rex are they gambling here?
6) The Colts were the oldest team maybe their luck is running out


The Bengals should be good for a few years
The Texans Could also be good for a few years
KC Chiefs could be good for a few years.


So our best odds may be that some of the best teams may be going down hill As I see a weaker league the next two years.

As long as mac's picks are productive, he will be safe. Add long as the team is competitive and motivated tb is safe. We can't come out flat in a big game this year or it will look bad.

In tbs defense, we were on a5 game win streak with the playoffs on the line, and beat the pats. An older team was due to have an exhaustion game.

i'm "hopeful" bowles has learned that you can't field a team that at least 25% of the season wasn't ready to play until after getting embarrassed in the 1st halves of those games.. the 2015 ny jets realistically could have been a 12+ win team..

that was only excusable (in my eyes anyway) because bowles was a rookie HC..

frankly scotch, if coach bowles hasn't learned that lesson no other amount of growth will mean all that much to me..

From what I know of him I love him as a HC but now way am I saying that leave some room in Canton for him. He needs to prove himself

It's all touch and go. If the fan base came out strong against any one or both, Woody would respond. He wants to make the fans happy.

For me.......... I think Mac is the real deal GM, but Bowles sucks as a HC, JMO. So we'll see the way things work out? But I think Bowles gets booted out of town and Mac gets to hire another HC while in the Jets employ.
