This team is simply better than I gave them credit for being. What amazes me the most is how well the OL has played as of late? Hell, Brandon Shell was out today and the OL was able to play well enough to win.
Secondary to the OL, is the play of Demario Davis? This guy is playing at least 10 times better than they did in the first 2 games.
Elijah McGuire is another great addition among many rookies that are playing out of their minds right now. Jamal Adams should get DROY right now. He's hands down the very best rookie so far.
Bottom line is Toilet deserves credit for this. I won't go crazy with it, the sting of 2016 is still pretty fresh, but a few games where Toilet has been lights out.

Miami is pretty bad. The Jags are pretty legit. Not world beaters, but they are a legit team. I expected today to be quite one-sided.
I'm going to ride the wave no matter how small until the losses start piling up. Building a culture takes time even if we miss out on the #1 pick. Losing breeds losing so I never wanted to be 0-16. At least first 4 weeks has shown we have players that want to win and be here.

The bolder part is absolutely right. Cleveland, 49ers, Jags have the top picks year after year and still can't build winners. I know Wendy want that QB but if we build up the rest of the team and show the young promising players the correct way to play maybe when they do land a solid QB, they can show him how to win.
I always thought this team (this year) was building in the right direction, FINALLY!!! Only heartache was the McCown signing and even worse, starting that old bastard. Either Petty or Hack should be playing but only if they deserve it and obviously they do not. Sad to say but if you can't beat McCown out then you ain't the guy and have no chance of being it.
I am surprised too but Tb is starting to work his magic. McCown might be best at this point for this team as we build it....
I have to agree with you, McCown is showing veteran poise. The two forth quarter flubs were not glaring mistakes by him. The team is growing and building confidence and that is all that matters. Young teams need to win to get that edge and I just don't think Petty and Hack would have done as well; at this point. They will get their chances. Last year at this time I knew they were garbage, this year I see a growing team with a future. I hope they keep it up, win or lose.
Hey Im just happy my Jets are Playing hard! Thats all I want from Players is to play hard and if Jets lose there is NO shame in that. I really think Jets have a really good Offensive Cord. He uses every weapon Offensively on this team and runs a balanced Offense. Jets needs to get him a QB and some other Offensive skilled Players. Again I like the toughness that our Jets are showing out there. Wilkerson being out is a non factor and havent seen Wilk play hard in over 2 years. Ive read some Sports talk about all Players dont play hard every play. Thats total non sense! I say that is to look at JJ Watt -Von Miller and the many other Players in the League! So trying to give Wilkerson a pass is BS! J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets! Playing with heart and showing no Quit along with toughness, I love it!
We can't have it both ways. A few weeks ago when we got destroyed by the Raiders we were complaining and saying how awful this team is. We can't turn around now and complain about winning.

Coolest thing about this team is no superstars - no egos. Soooo many years we bring in B level super stars who think they own the place and disrupt the culture. Now we are rebuilding with young guys some of who are looking for second chances. Humble. Awesome way to build a culture. The only question in my mind has been the talent selection which so far has been surprisingly good. Still cautiously optimistic.....The first real test is coming up against Cleveland - its a typical Jet trap game. The second test is the Pats the week after. If we can be competitive in that game I will be proud of the unit win or lose.

What has me really curious right now is.......I keep asking myself... "How good can this team be?" Honestly, I don't know , but I look forward to finding out. They're clearly surprising people right now. I also love the fact that I figure at least right now that they actually have a legitimate shot at beating the Patsies in two weeks? Whereas two weeks ago I didn't think they had a prayer in hell of winning a game.
I am attempting to correct my margin of error so I can get closer to knowing my team? Bottom line is there was so many new faces coming into the season. Even very recently there was a lot of roster upheaval. It takes a while to build chemistry with your new teammates. So they have the perfect scenario under which to find out. They get another warm up game with Cleveland. use that game to correct the problems with penalties and poor run defense. Then, it's on to NE and the real test begins...........

I don't think it's a playoff team, but I think it is a young, exciting team with good chemistry that plays hard. Find the right franchise QB and you could have something for the long haul.
It's always better to insert a young QB into a team that has a good supporting cast. If this team wins 6-8 games with McCown as QB, you have to admit the supporting cast is pretty good.
No kidding. The last time McCown won back to back games was in 2004
I agree Sack...they play hard, competitively (even if they lose) and smart then TB deserves credit. You all know how i feel about him but he has these guys playing better than I expected and look like a football team.
And guess what , we're underdogs at The Browns.

agreed. same here. I really like our offensive coordinator. Not once have I questioned his calls the last few games. I hated him in pre-season when everything was dinks and dunks but that could be more on Hack being a hack
