I really wanted Darnold to succeed.

Darnold is gone. There is absolutely no doubt. Maybe get a 4th for him
Good thing two excellent prospects are available.
We should trade up on our second number one to get fields & the other guy. This will give us a 50% chance of getting a good one. Within a few years we should have one to wreck
I really liked Darnold...... but now i have turned on him like a rabid dog. The guy simply cant read a defense and has no capacity with the game on the line of possibly winning it. I’m done.....
I hate having to give up on Darnold because we are going to get so little return for him. Which NFL franchise would improve their starting QB position by trading for him? And as I watch my recording of Steelers-Browns, if you were Pittsburgh would you sign Darnold to replace Mason Rudolph?

I think Darnold's head injury was worse than they are admitting.
Darnold is an ugly (big head) Dumb QB that belongs in the LFL (losers Football league) He sucks & so does his ghost.
You might be right. All of the dinking and dunking and ineffectiveness downfield may be evidence enough.
We all wanted Darnold to do well! Even me who was pissed Jets didnt take Josh Allen. I got a feeling Jets will do the same this year taking big name College Ohio Fields over small BYU Zack with more passing,less INTs,and mobile QB . Yes Zack needs help coaching but imo has bigger upside than little passing pocket QB from Ohio running first team.
Darnold in my opinion is done. His excuses are the same each and every week. Although better players around him would certainly help, it's Tough to build around someone so inconsistent week to week.
Darnold has the arm and mobility and seems like a smart guy. His problems are twofold . 1) HE CANT READ DEFENSES and 2) he is skiddish in the pocket because he doesn’t like getting clobbered . The same thing happened to Sanchez. He got the absolute shit knocked out of him in a game against the Ravens.....and was never the same. Same thing happened to Joey Harrington in Detroit . Sam simply cant process what he sees fast enough .... and he forces throws before getting killed. Brady is the same way too. Blast him a few times, force him off his spot and he becomes average. Only difference is that Brady never got skiddish because he never got pounded that bad
Darnold is Chad Henne, not Mahomes. He's a career backup, not the guy. He proved it here. He will bounce around the League with any luck and have a nice little career. Hell maybe he gets lucky and has a streak like Foles did and gets a big payday down the line but it won't happen here. Good Luck Sam, We ALL wanted you to do well.
exactly what I have been saying about brady for years. any good qb could be brady if they got pressured almost never like he has since day one. give him credit for picking another team with a great offensive line
Sam is ruined because he has been pounded from day 1. brady had all day from day 1. one was set up to succeed. the other destined to fail
