I saw WR bubble screens in my nightmares last night.

How many times can you get beat on the same play before you recognize it and do something about it?

Honestly... I was beyond livid once the Bengals figured out THEY can't have Dalton take more than a one step drop and throw or he will be killed that We had no answer for there bubble screens..... None... Bowles needs to sure up the short passing D cause the NFL realized what they thought was a great D line is better than that and we get Richardson back this week.... It's looking like Man/zone and let the DL and an extra rusher come . Have 6 in coverage on normal downs 7 in coverage on anything 8yds or deeper on third down and let MO-Willaims-Richardson and Mauldin go get the qb...

it was almost like the pass defensive gameplay was, so long as dalton keeps taking 5 step drops we are golden.. hell, we don't really need to blitz..

It's just proving that Todd Bowles is a stiff that is unable of recognizing a problem and make in game adjustments to quell the problem. This is becoming a real issue for the HC that the fans are recognizing. If Todd Bowles continues down this path and does not learn what to do to fix the problem, the fan base will eventually come out in full force against him...........

It's not one game, it's actually two games in a row and quite a few in the mid part of Bowles inaugural season. It's becoming a habit and as posters mention it.....it is only because many thought it long before today........

Exactly the way I feel. The Bengals were 12/4 last year and we were the better team for most of the game; we make a few adjustments and we are going to win a bunch of games. A few guys are going to play with a chip on their shoulder after screwing up yesterday. We kick a FG and the game was ours. Close games are often decided by luck IMO.

I don't know how we kept missing the Bengals lining three receivers up on one side, and we only had two defenders. That's called a mismatch. And our defense got caught with its pants down numerous times.

Get it fixed.

That's on the coaches and I don't see our staff letting things like that happening again... BUT Jesus was that frustrating to see.
