Its a good question because you never know, its highly unlikely he falls to 6, but anything is possible.
If it happens he would be real hard to pass on, but if we take him that means switching to a base 4-3, which is fine with me because we're talking about a super unit on the front four, and with our rebuilt secondary that spells H-E-L-L for QB's.
BASE FRONT FOUR
DE Mo Wilkerson
DT Sheldon Richardson
DT Leonard Williams
DE Quinton Coples
Or you could go Williams & Coples at the ends, Wilkerson and Sheldon inside.
SHORT YARD/GOAL LINE
DE Mo Wilkerson
DT Sheldon Richardson
DT Snacks
DE Leonard Williams
Its a great five man rotation too because Snacks can sub in for all four of them, whoever needs a blow, because all of our D-Tackles have DE versatility, so any one of them can shift outside if he subs for an end, and in todays NFL your DL's all need a blow, its too taxing in the trenches, if they play every down they'll be sucking wind in the 4th Qtr, so your 5th Man is like the Nickel in todays NFL, a quasi starter, another justification for taking Williams if he slides to 6.
Lastly, taking Williams and shifting to a base 4-3 essentially eliminates the need for a 3-4 Rush OLB. Now we can just draft a 4-3 OLB later in the draft, and those guys (unlike the 3-4 edge rushers) are not at a premium, so you can get a damn good one after the first round.
There is no way in hell we are taking Leonard Williams. Yes, I would bet my house on it. We have arguably the best DL in the NFL. On the other hand, we have one of the oldest and slowest LB groups, our OL is average at best, and we probably have one of the 5 worst QB units in the NFL. But let's ignore all that and make sure we add some more depth on our DL that's already stacked with pro-bowl caliber players.
To me this is like the Packers trading their 1st round pick for Tom Brady. Ya, they just acquired one of the 10 best players in the league but got absolutely no better on the field.

O
You lost the house !
Crazy how you got that right
I'm not gonna say I told ya so, because honestly, I was surprised by the Williams pick.
Value-wise, it was a great pick. Williams was widely considered a top 3 pick. I was CERTAIN he'd be gone. This pick crowds an already crowded defensive line. Our depth is insane right now. I've gotta think the Jets will deal Wilkerson. I don't see how they can't, unless they plan on using a lot of 4-3 alignments.
Really!Crazy how you got that right
That is pretty damn amazing. This potential scenario could play out as follows: ......
1- Tampa Bay - Jameis Winston
2- Tennessee - Marcus Mariota
3- Jacksonville - Dante Fowler Jr.
4- Oakland - Amari Cooper
5- Washington - Brandon Scherff
6- NY Jets - Leonard Williams (?????)
Point is not the only one disappointed, I wanted White. I don't give a rats ass if the guys is a consensus top 3 value pick or BPA... we didn't need this guy IMHO. Very disappointed we took another DL when we need WR, OL, OLB....
I'm with you. I hated the Williams pick but I trust in the new regime 100%. Plus, I know Williams is the best ranked player in the draft period. So how can we be but so upset with this pick. I'm sure they have a plan in play here and I'm guessing Mo is about the get traded. This pick sounds like the Jets feel like Mo will be hard to sign. And maybe they think Sheldon will be difficult as well. I think if we get Devin Smith or DGB that will make people forget about White. I'm going to trust the GM and HC right now who by the way seem so cool and like they have a plan when they are together. Unlike the buffoons of the last 6 years.
Bronx nails itWhy trade Mo? Probably our best player. Please stop. We will have a relentless D line, that will rotate for 4 Quarters. Injuries will be less of a concern as well. You keep your good football players. Have we learned anything from Revis?
If Kate Upton knocked on your door wearing a red teddy and holding a bottle of Dom Perignon, would you let her in?
