If Mariota Slips to 6, Jets Should Take Him In NY Minute

I think cost aside, because I feel if Gaily feels one is a franchise Qb who gets us to where we want to go, there are few prices too much to pay. However, cost aside, I think I'd rank them:

Bradford
Foles
Mariota
Winston

If we could get any of the 4 I would be a happy man and If I was just ranking on talent I would have Bradford 1st but his injuries scare me a lot.

Both Foles and Bradford would probably beat out Geno. But I'd rather have Foles if I had a choice.

Geno would start the season ahead of Mariota, but Winston would immediately give Geno a QB competition for the starting position.

Hey, most, if not all, of what you point out sounds correctable to me. And I find his perfect QB rating against the Fins in the last game very encouraging,

But as I said, I am always hopeful about the Jets. :)

I have always been a Geno optimist and hope for best. Not blind faith. I think he has the tools and maybe. Just maybe with yet another coach to help him develop it can happen....I also think LAL was a horrible wr coach that indirectly did not help him grow with wr development. Especially steven hill who ran horrible routes. And more importantly never went hungrily after the ball

Got to say I disagree with you Dreamer, but I hope your right. Gaily was a horrible HC, but he is certainly one of the better OC's, and near the top as a QB developer. When you look back at his history, and the good play he got out of bad to middling QB's it's really impressive.

He'll get the best out of Smith that he has to offer. I would love to see what he could do with Winston or Mariota.
