Its comical that you don't see the many blunders of Gailey Offense. Do you think putting Jets Defense on the field yesterday in 1st quarter for 9 mins. is ok? Do you really feel there is no reason to use our TE's all season? Do you really feel showing Defenses if its a run or pass play with no RB or 1 WR on the field? There is a reason why no one hired Gailey, he just isn't a good Coach. Maybe look at todays teams like Pats who know how to use TE's & call crucial 3rd down plays to their best players. Are you really Blaming Jets Defense for that loss yesterday? Really? Gailey might as well had Fitz out there with sticks & bottle caps drawing in the dirt.

The Jets d was out there for 9 minutes because they couldn't get off the field on 3rd down.

This is a team sport. Some games the d can't get it done and the offense had to make up for it, and vice versa. Sunday, both sides of the ball failed us.

My outlook is a positive one. You forget where we were just 12 months ago. We increased our wins 250%and broke records. We put the Patriots on notice that we are getting better and not afraid to take it to them.

What we need is a good off season. In the end our deficiencies couldn't be covered up any longer.

In one season we made a tremendous step forward.

Look, this is one of the best Offenses I've ever seen with talent in the NFL. So then whats the issue in your opinions? Why aren't Jets in Playoffs? Lack of talent on Offense in your eyes? If you took Pat OC & gave him this Roster of talent Jets would be for sure going to the super bowl. If Jets have the Players to put up these kind of numbers then its poor scheming by OC & use of the talent in crucial situations. I cant blame the good Players on Offense for the play calling that puts them in tough spots.

How many balls hit guys square in the hands yesterday? Almost every 3rd down someone was dropping a pass, that's not scheming.

I totally understand, big dan, this franchise sucks the life out of you, and the older you get, the harder it gets to endure. When you are younger its easy to brush off excruciating losses like yesterday and say "we'll get'em next year", because your life is seemingly filled with next years, but as you get older and your own mortality comes into focus, you do start to wonder why you are wasting so much of the little time you have left on a team that brings you nothing but heartbreak year after year, and there is definitely a natural impulse to say I'll still follow the team IN SEASON, just not as religiously as I used too. To be perfectly honest, I'm not nearly as consumed with this team as I was in my younger days, to an extent I've already pulled back some. Admittedly this year pulled me back in to where I became heavily invested in the outcome again, but of course it ended the way it always ends for this franchise. Once again the reward for caring was a swift kick in the balls, so I COMPLETELY understand where you are coming from, I feel the exact same way today, still a Jets fan, will be till they put me in the ground, but once again I have far less motivation to follow the day to day activities to the same fanatical degree I did as a younger man.

You have that right so enjoy it

BUT IMO

We should be proud of the Jets......We won the single greatest SB & football game in the history of the sport we had the greatest day ever in football......I for one I am still on a high over that game. It has never left me & the pats or Giants can't even come close to it.

We changed the game of football that day. We are the Jets! So just enjoy it!


I am a Saint Louis Blues fan We have never won it all but I still enjoy them. We also changed the game of hockey the first three years reaching the finals........I am proud to be a Blues & Bruins Fan......The killer B's folks win or lose.

So be proud of your teams & enjoy it to the level you wish.....but don't forget being a Jet fan is a good thing.......If anything it is the younger fan I worry about not the older ones LOL

So this morning I had carpal tunnel surgery. It was way less painful then yesterdays game.

Last year we were4-12 with really no players. This year after spending over 100 mil we are 10-6. Both years we are home for the playoffs. You play this game to win the Superbowl. Had we beaten buffalo, the way I see it, only the cheaters stood in our way of the Superbowl and without us not much stands in their way.

With the schedule we had this year, we really blew it. Next year we're may be better or we may be worse but either way I doubt we win more games then this year given the schedule we will have. So to me , I'm not happy

Either way been watching the same crap for ,40 years like repeats on antenna TV and I really don't believe it will ever change

And someone better save the Superbowl from those cheatahs this year

In a perfect world we would win the SB every 32 years.....So if we win one in the next 12 years we would have won two super bowls in 64 years. We would be on target. We have nothing to complain about.......poor NE should not win one for the next 100 years plus.

Look as a cardinal fan also.........I have one championship in 98 years of SB Add another 5 years on before the SB.


They have only been in the playoffs together once in all those years.

Thanks guys. Yeah I'm fine. Compared to my last surgery this one was fun. Last time I had 2 hernias and a visectomy all at once. Never ever do that. When I left the hospital that time I was so beat I could only open 1 eye. This time soon as it was over I asked for a coffee and to go home. A little pain but haven't even needed pain meds

I've cared less over the years. I went from crying after Doug Brien lost us that playoff game, to shrugging my shoulders yesterday and saying "whatever." Some teams are cursed, and I think the Jets are, don't see them ever winning a Super Bowl. At least not for like another 100 yrs. If they got there, I can't imagine how badly they would crap their pants on the big stage. JMHO. Hope they prove me wrong... one day.

I know what your saying Big D. I didn't expect Jets to be better than 8-8 or 9-7 & happy at 10-6. But I'm very sick over Gailey & sick of watching Gailey not using the talent. I don't know why Jets cant get a good OC. Gailey tells Defenses its a run or pass play, doesn't use TE's at all & in crucial 3rd downs he goes to unknown proven talent to make big plays. Marshall-Decker-Ivory-Cumberland & Powell in passing to are all crucial & best to get 3rd downs. I'm not sure if I'm putting all my Jets gear & memorabilia away I've collected since 69 til they get rid of Gailey. I'll wait til I cooled off before doing that. But I've done it before when Jets have a bad Coach & dont watch much football. That's hard when you don't have another team in NFL you like. Even harder when your team is across the Nation & I'm surrounded by Seahawks & Raiders fans laughing at Jets collapsing. But Jets is my team since 1969.

Gailey? Fitzpatrick set a franchise record for TDs, Marshall set a franchise record for consecutive 100 yard games, Ivory first 1000 yard season.....

Basically I'm just not going to invest so much emotion and preparation into all of it. At 66, life seems too short to spend so much of it on something over which I have no control.

After a lifetime in corporate I.T., I want no stress if I can avoid it.

I'm retiring in the next 6 months, already moved to Florida 7 years ago.

Gonna back-burner the team until September...

Seriously folks Gailey gets no blame

We had one of the worst offenses in the NFL

This year it was one of the best

Decker couldnt do anything last year with Mahty and Geno

This year he went over 1000 yards again with a bunch of TDs. Marshall was a BEAST and Gailey got useful play from Thompkins and Enunwa

Tight ends for receiving?? We have Cumbersome and Davis two TEs that make Becht look like a good receiver

Thanks for saving me the reply add in we had one of if not the best red-zone pctg in the league under the other oc's i doubt we were in the top 20.

I hear you BigDan and can't blame you. I wish I could do the same but I just can't. These bastards suck me in every year and I fall for it everytime with hope, REAL hope and not REALism of what this team really is for that year. I've been a Jets fan since 1982 and I was 12 years old then and haven't look back since. I kick myself in the ass all the time for it and ask why but I guess I just can't give up on them. I respect how you feel and applaud it and I wish I could the same but I know I can't. See or hear from you at the beginning of next season my Jets faithful friend.

I had a chance in 84-85 to choose giants or jets I watched both teams and the giants were boring to watch even though they won and the jets with o'brien throwing 70 yard td's to walker and toon i was hooked and have been paying for it ever since............my brother at the time who was younger sided with my step-dad and choose the giants.......................uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what could have been?
