In their prime both players were at or near the top of the position. I would take either, but gun to my head, maybe a slight edge to Mawae.
Mawae was the more dominant player. He gets the nod from me.
Mawae had a DFWM nasty streak in him that I loved. Mangold was a solid Jet from start to finish( and was one of my all-time faves). Tough call!
he just was.. much better athlete as well & then you throw in the mean streak??
Mangold may have been more steady, but Mawae had a bigger upside. He could be a truly dominant center.
After the secret service it would be Mawae

Yep. Nick is the sentimental choice because of he was a career Jet. But Kevin was just a tad better.
We enjoyed watching them both perform at a high degree of excellence.
