Is Chris Conley undervalued?

I don't see any mocks that have him off the board before round 3. CBS has him ranked as a 4th round prospect. Here is a guy who stands 6'2, 213, (comparable to Jalen Strong, Devante Parker, Perriman, etc) runs a 4.3 forty, and and verts 45".

He didn't light it up at UGA but he was their top receiver playing on a ground based attack, with a terrible QB. Don't get mixed up with the Stephen Hill comparisons though. He played in a pro-style offense and showed he can do a lot of the same things he will be asked of in the NFL.

On top of that, he is among the best and hardest-working kids in the draft. I'm not promoting him for round 1 or 2, but if he is sitting there at the bottom of round 3 or top of round 4, he is a STEAL.

I love him, Rashad Green, Lockett, and Stefon Diggs as 3rd/4th round steals.

Yeah, just a few years ago another WR named Stephen Hill had all the fantastic numbers @ the combines with a 26 YPC @ Georgia Tech, and how did that turn out for the Jets. If he's projected by so many to be a round 3-4 player, there is usually a good reason.

Good Lord, man. Can we give the Stephen Hill comparisons, to every WR that performs well at the combine, a rest? It is so irrelevant and off-base. The guy who preceded Hill at GT? Demaryius Thomas. The guy who preceded him? Calvin Johnson. I think those 2 guys worked out okay, don't you? Can we not make the comparison to those guys just as easy?

The point is you can't play that game of grouping players just because they come from the same program or from similar backgrounds. Hill didn't work out but Thomas and Johnson are all-pros. No correlation.

If you're telling me that you don't find it a good gamble to grab a WR who was the go-to guy on a top 15 national team, playing in the SEC against SEC-level DB's, stands 6'2, 213, runs 4.3's. and jumps 45", then I don't know what to tell you. Maybe you would be happier if we grabbed another Dexter McDougle or Brian Winters, who were our last two 3rd round stellar picks?

Demaryius Thomas & Calvin Johnson were both very much on my radar screen before they were drafted. As much as I follow the ACC & SEC being in the south, both Hill & Conely were not. Then comes the combines and everyone is raving about them. I don't like post combine stars being born.

He has inconsistent hands and is a poor route runner. And is a lazy secondary target... Played in a running offense. So limited exp... Is a project with huge upside, and yes it does compare similarly to Stephen Hill. Though Conley is noted for being an exceptional human being. Has received many humanitarian awards. either way 3rd Rd at best and 4th rd'er likely...

I am all for taking a kid with his upside in RD 4 but the need for a long term #1 WR and how deep this draft is at WR says he isn't on our Radar

Pfft, Georgia is NOT Georgia Tech & doesn't ignore the passing game the way the bumblebees do.
36 catches for 657 yards as a senior is more receptions than Hill had in his entire college matriculation - and Conley didn't even become a starter until the receiver ahead of him went down to injury.
45 receptions for 651 yards and four scores the year before.

Not only is Conley undervalued by almost every draftnik, he's likely going to be the biggest steal of this draft if he lasts until Rd 4.
How can ANYONE discount a WR that can highpoint a pass 45" over his outstretched arms, that is capable of not only taking the top off a defense but RIPPING it off along with plenty of skin? (4.23s speed on his best 40 yard heat in Indy.)
