i spent weeks on trying to get my head around who would be our best choice at 3.. after watching, hearing, reading & discussing college football with serious college football fans, mayfield is my choice hands down.. my gut tells me, he's going to be the best of the bunch.. LOLz whatever that's worth?!

but losing him to to patriots, after moving up to 3?? that would be an unspeakably brutal kick to the nuts for me.. especially if the giants knowingly end up being the ones to makes it possible for NE to **** us..

Brady already sent his replacement packing. He won't allow them to waste their entire draft to bring in another one.. I don't think he plans to retire as long as he has a 10 second pocket to stand in, and he may even look into how to throw from a rocking chair

Pat's will have to get to 2 get Mayfield. Don't think they have the fire power to do it. Billls who have more picks are also trying to get to 2 (different QB probably). I honestly don't think the Giants are selling unless it's a kings ransom.
It looks to me that Mayfield is the target of the Jets trade up, and I'm good with that. Pat's or Bills might have to target 4 for Allen. At least I hope so.

I was all in for Rosen at #3, but feel now that Mayfield will be the choice of Mac and Myself also. Mayfield did a lot of stupid things that we all did at that age. He is a bit short. I just think he will take control and earn the respect of the Offense.

Let's look at this in a different light, what other team can trade away a franchise QB for a second round pick. THEN, a few months later, trade away a player they spent a 1st and 3rd round pick on, get back a 1st and 4th rounder. Then, if the rumors become reality, take their two firsts and a second rounder or two at the very least, to move up to secure a back up QB.
If this were the Jets, the media wouldn't stop with the amount of stupidity the organization has in running the team.
But it's Bill Belicheat and the Patriots soo it must be the new way of doing business and running a team.They're innovators..blah
Even if they don't trade up, there is still NO backlash of giving up Garapalo for only a second round pick, while teams are (including our Jets) giving away multiple second round picks and whoever does trade up into the top 5 will have to give up massive amounts of draft capitol to make that move.

Allen is the guy that scares me. Rosen because of injuries. Mayziel because of douchey qualities. Darnold is the guy I would love. WTF do I know though.

None of us know squat. This is all fun and games until April 26th. One things for sure, this board is gonna be a mixed bag of elation and pissing and moaning about the QB we choose.

the ability to throw from the pocket, 4 year starter, good athlete, strong arm & moxy..

& mayfield is by far the most accurate of the big 4..

but you got our franchise QB coming out of the '19 draft, so.....

The one thing that scares about Mayfield, is not how tall he is. Its his hand size. Rosen is his injury history. Allen is a Boom or Bust. Darnold is the one I would prefer.

kid had real ball security issues as well as a bunch of picks last year..

some/most don't seem overly concerned about that..

Not saying Mayfield will be a bust, but i can see Belichick thinking he will be and playing his hand in having the Jets pick him 3rd overall.


In which i would be elated as I absolutley would Love Baker to be our QB for years to come.
