is there any scenario the jets would draft rosen??

we all know who woody "serves at the pleasure of.." anyone being intellectually honest will concede an argument can be made, drafting rosen could be..... problematic..

the active posters here are mature enough to keep this civil in my view.. i wouldn't have started the thread if i didn't believe that.. but even with this, or that, or the other, rosen would be my 2nd choice behind mayfield..

the kid kid just seems like a natural..

The scenario is Cleveland drafts Allen (please let it happen)
The second pick is by the team with whom we share our stadium and they take Barkley
With the third pick, the Jets select Rosen.
Two days later, Woody is found; bound, gagged and safe in a hotel room in Bayonne.

Personally, jetgreen13, I believe that if Rosen is there when the Jets pick, that will be their pick. Just a gut feeling. There is no denying that Mayfield can play but they have had personality players that have had adverse effects on the team before and I think they might be worried that Mayfield's boisterous personality might be hard to manage. To be fair they all have shortcomings but that one is especially hard to cope with. Just a hunch. For me all 4 are about equal so I'll take any one of them and just hope that he is finally our franchise QB.

from what i hear, he's got some eddie haskell in him.. that's fine with me.. if the kid is slick enough to sell himself & back it up, why should i give a shit??

I know where you are coming from but I think many people believe that players like that are a distraction from the team. Mostly, though not completely, I agree with that, but I also submit to the theory that it isn't bragging if you can live up to it. In Mayfield's case it's the unnecessary harassment of members of opposing teams or their fans that I have a problem with. It shows up as a lack of maturity to me. If the Jets did draft him I wouldn't be upset but I would be in high hopes the he would of his own volition curtail that aspect of his personality.

considering the acting owner (christopher johnson) just came out and said he'd be ok with players taking a knee during the national anthem, i don't see josh rosen's possible political views being an issue. not to make this political, but i'm gonna guess in a poll of the players, the current president wouldn't be looked at too favorably.

if the jets brass thinks rosen is the best QB on the board when they pick, i am very confident he will be the pick.

I truly hope so, I have posted about the top 4 QB's each time favoring all of them at one point just to see who wants which one. IMHO Rosen has the most upside and would be the perfect FQB to lead us to the Super Bowl.

If Darnold is available at three and the Jets don't take him then Mac should be fired on the spot.

In reality we are either taking Rosen or Mayfield. I'm good with either one.
