It is funny when you look at this season.

The New York Jets still have three games to go. That's three chances to win a game -- a game -- and end the season with twice as many wins as last year. Next year, the coaches will have a very good idea of what the weak spots are, and time in which to address them.

Regards, stay safe 'n well.

Go, Gang Green!

IMO this season we exceeded expectations (at least in my view).

I was looking for
-Growth ✔️
-Identity ✔️
-Edge Rush ✔️
-Improved Secondary ✔️
-#1 WR ✔️ and we have a solid young Receiver Corp IMO ✔️
-Improved running game ✔️✔️ (Breece and BAM are going to be unstoppable for years if they stay healthy)

Now there are still some issues but to go from last year to the brink of playoffs in 1 season, definitely exceeded my expectations. I wanted to see growth and good competitive football and I got both.

Yes O-Line is in shambles and our starting QB position is not cemented, but Mike White looks like we may have found a diamond in the rough (if we can keep him upright and healthy), and Zach has talent (but needs to be developed). With a strategic free agency and draft, we can fix the O line.

The bigger problem to me is fixing the QB position and we need to see serious growth from our OC (he is just a 2nd year OC, so he is learning and needs grooming too). I would also throw into that (we need to upgrade our QB coaching staff; we need solid development there, as we saw Zach regress with his footwork and confidence as the season wore on).

Great 2nd season by the new coaching staff IMO. We have no reason to hold our heads down (and hey the season isn't over, we may luck into the playoffs LOL). We just have to keep learning and improving.

I think Saleh is doing a terrific job. He says the right thing , a player's coach, NEVER gives the opponent "bulletin board" fodder, and cares about both sides of the ball. On the field he made a mistake or three, but which coach didn't?

Saleh has done a great job IMO. He makes mistakes here/there but hey "everyone does". I think he is also the type of individual who learns from his mistakes and tries not to repeat them.

He seems like he puts a ton of faith in his OC's which is a double edged sword. As long as he continues to surround himself with the right people, the team is a good hands.

Mike White is not the answer. We need a Garrapolo type of QB. A LT, Center, FS, OLB and MLB. We should be able to get our QB, FS, and Center of the future in Free Agency. A LT, MLB, OLB in the Draft. Let Edge (Lawson), and WR (Corey Davis) walk. Save on cap. Re-sign Mims.

I would argue White can be (and may already be) a Garoppolo type QB. He's only been given a handful of games to play, and he's shown he can read a defense, anticipate a throw, play with great efficiency and effectiveness.

Remember up until this season, both NE & SF have been looking to get rid of Garoppolo. Both QB's make the easy things look routine, and both don't have the arm talent to light things up and make you go "Wow!". At the end of the day, teams need to decide "do they want someone who can be spectacular? Or do they want a General who can command the offense?"

Both types can get the job done, it's all about putting the right talent and system around them so they can be successful.

I say trade Zach and get what you can for him. Cut your losses and take the L on this one. Maybe they can get a 2nd or a 3rd for him and pay whatever to just move on. I believe MW is or can be the guy! Give the job to him full-time and give him a chance to lead this team. He's still young enough to have a HOF type career, if that's something that's in him.

He can be better then Garrapolo to be honest. He can be the next Kurt Warner with this team. I believe the Jets should draft a QB in the 5th-6th round and grown him for a year or two, just in case MW isn't the guy and hopefully whomever they draft can take over if MW fails. This team is ready to win now and there's no more time to play and wait around for Zach Wilson.
